Still waiting for some kind of a review, post-update.

I like the game and wasn't disappointed at $10 -- nobody who pays $5 is going to feel ripped off. It takes a little while to figure it out and there are some places where you literally don't know where to go next, but it's fun finding your way around, there are some unique elements, the weapons are great, the situations are genuinely stressful and the puzzles are tough. Underwater sections and underwater combat are difficult and I'd have liked to have seen more varied environments but it was okay.

When it goes to $5 bucks everyone should buy this game on principle alone. People always whine that companies don't listen, well when they do they should be rewarded.

Other wise it's proved that they shouldn't care.

I'll get off my soapbox now.

I think I'll grab it for $5. A company like that deserves to be around for a little while at least! Not that it's a donation, I'll totally play the game too!

@Burritoclock - I'm going to give the demo a try with the new update in the next couple of days and grab it next week if I enjoy it.

I'm all for supporting companies that listen and apply fan feedback but I'm still not going to buy a game that I dislike so I'll be giving it a try first.

@xreadmore

I'll probably buy it for $5 just to reward the developers for listening to the customers about the problems, acknowledging that the customers were right, and then working their tails off to try and make a better product.

@Mcmax3000

That's completely valid and understandable. BUT if you have $5 to spare I believe buying this just to support them is a reasonable use of $5 bucks.

But then I waste more then $5 bucks all the time on dumb things and useless things without even realizing it....

Even if this game is not someones cup of tea, maybe their next game IS and it would be nice to keep a developer like this around.

A full game for $5 is a bargain. I played the demo and thought this was okay, but not $10 worth of interesting. Knowing they've fixed a lot of the issues in the demo makes it an easy sell. If you like third person running, climbing and adventurin' and water you should probably check it out.

@Burritoclock

i think i just might do that. it's part of why i bought Mirror's new instead of used; to do my small part to reward the developers for really trying something new.

@Burritoclock I'm going to buy it with 400msp I got from Microsoft with Bing Rewards.

Taking from the rich and giving to the poor as it were, eh?

Don't bring Scoot back in the next installment.

Better voice acting for the rest of the cast.

I can't believe how interested I am in this game, without ever playing even a second of it. I may have to buy it when it goes down to $5.

And I'd also like to add some props to the developer for listening to the players.

I honestly really enjoyed the demo. It's not the best game ever, but it's enjoyable and working with the water is actually more interesting than I thought it'd be.

i bought this game yesterday just because this developer is trying so hard to give us a good game.

and the post update version is actually pretty good. nowhere near a GOTY nominee but worth 10 bucks

You know...with the amount of effort this developer has been putting into this game post-release, they sure as heck deserve my five bucks.

I've not played or seen any footage of this game, but after hearing of all the work they've put into making the game better, I'm definitely gonna support them.

I can name a lot of big name companies who should look at Dark Energy and take notes.

I got really pissed a few years ago when they announced that there would be multiple episodes to this "revolutionary water physics" game at $15 a piece. At the time XBLA games didn't really go on sale, so it would be really expensive for the whole experience. I liked the demo but was put off by all the bad reviews and my HUGE backlog. I'm impressed they put so much effort into an overhaul and lowered the permanent price to $10. So next week I'll buy this game at $5 just to say thanks.

Definitely grabbing this game for 5 bucks, and I rarely buy XBLA games. It wasn't that bad BEFORE the update, so as it's like the biggest update ever released on the 360, it has to be at least pretty damn decent now.
