Well beauty fades, and all life comes to an end, so either option is ultimately meaningless. But if the question is, which will give you a happier life, obviously you need a life to be happy, so the ugly option is the only one that makes sense. But then again, what does "dying" entail exactly? Like a long drawn out death, or dying tomorrow? Kinda makes a big difference.
Also in my experience, there's not really such a thing as a beautiful dead person. Rotting flesh doesn't appeal to most people.
Kinda all sounds like the premise for the movie "Se7en" with the Vanity sin, where some model got her face all mutilated, and then was given the choice of killing herself with pills or calling for help. (Life as an ugly person vs death)

Much as I hate to admit it, this reeks of (to use Troper lingo) No Export For You. I hope I'm wrong, but it'll drive me crazy wondering whether this game will make it over when we still don't even know about Xenoblade and The Last Story.

Compared to SquEnix's recent oeuvre, this title actually makes some degree of sense. It's (presumably) about a tower that belongs to Pandora. That's nowhere near as out-there as "Dissidia 012 Duodecim" or "Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days".

Here we can see some cloth which leads me to believe that its some sort of evening dress or a tube top or evening a bedsheet being held up by the person to cover thier front.

2. There is also the nose and the lips, they are, to me and my experience in manga/anime, obviously female. its the angle of the noses upturn and the fullness of the lower lip that tells me that. Males tend to have lips are even and 90 degree nose's
3. The name of the tower. Pandora, from the story is female. Nothing to to expound on that though.
To me the tattoo is immaterial and the shape of the back and its slopes scream female.
