@OmegaSpartan08 --Jade and Goro were confirmed in the last Game Informer and Ermac before then. Otherwise, the rest are first confirmed in this video (though I don't see Stryker that well).
But for those that haven't seen anything from GI or any other internet sources, yeah this is a confirmation-fest, and it's beautiful.

looks quite interresting, this mode can fit perfectly for killing blows, combo finishers, or very strong grips... but I'd hate to see an X-Ray move every 2 secs..
I would like to see those in some fatalities too

John Tobias (co-creator of MK) made a fighying game back on the original Xbox called Kabuto Kojin (it was one of Microsoft's launch games). It featured this same type of gameplay mechanic...

lMy bad, it was Tao Feng: Fist of the Lotus. It was an early launch title for the Xbox.
Anyways, John Tobias made it and the game featured a very similar gameplay mechanic to MK 2011.

To be honest, this looks like it's gonna get old real quick after seeing it over and over and over again.
IMO they should have had these moves for the characters during the fatality part where you can either perform the easier to do x-ray moves, or the more difficult but more satisfying fatalities.

Well, it would certainly be more realistic that way, since in real life, most of the X-ray moves would kill you outright, kill you a few minutes later from tissue damage and internal bleeding (or blood poisoning in the case of Sub-Zero's liver crush), or at the very least leave you paralyzed for life. Certainly a fight ender. Can't hold up your head with a shattered neck.

Thus continuing my preference for Street Fighter over Mortal Kombat in the off chance I want to play a fighting game; I never was one for extreme violence and gore in my games.
er, um... pardon me while I go back to playing... mumble mumble... Fallout... mumble mumble...

"We wish this tech had been around for Mortal Kombat 2, so we could understand the anatomical makeup of all those people who seemed to be made entirely of arm bones and intestines."
Just ask the Super Bowl Turkey how it had so many wings and legs.

Holy freakin' awesome! That's one anatomically detailed game. I'm sure this is going to be Rated A for Awesome!

Yes, they do indeed show up as soft tissue, which depending on the technique used, is some shade of gray. They really should have called this computed tomography mode, as x-ray is only displayed in black, white, and shades of gray.

I don't know why but the walk animations really annoy me. Everything is motion capture but it just looks so awkward.

i'm just wondering, if, anyone ever played Fight Club on the ps2? they had the xray stuff down a long time ago. hopefully it is more fluid than past MK's. MK vs DC was a dream come true, but, it felt like you were fighting in a dream. slow and weak. when will we get MV vs DC vs MK vs CAP?

This is stupid if it is part of normal game play because if you broke some bones they shouldn't recover right away, it could get old real fast if I keep seeing bones broken but not much else adverse effect to the game play. It's better to have it as finish move or have the bone broken having an impact on player's movement.

This looks kinda cool, but from what I saw in the video at least, Blitz The league and Blitz 2 both did it better, and showed them breaking better and made you cringe a little.
