Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars delayed to March 22
30
Apparently, LucasArts needs just a little more time than it anticipated to adequately polish the lightsabers of Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars -- the game has been pushed from its initial February 15 release date to March 22. Or, as a character from Lego Star Wars 3 might pronounce it, "Uhhnnn, aaahhh! Eeeeeaaaahh!"
No reason for the delay accompanied the announcement, but we're gonna make an educated guess that it has something to do with the ridiculous amount of resources the company poured into the game's Flash-based website. (Seriously, check that thing out! It's like a game in and of itself.)

I have been getting a little sick of the Lego games, but this one seriously looks good. Take as many delays as you need, LucasArts.

Doesn't seem to far away.
And now I have the sudden urge to go pick up Lego Harry Potter. I'm feelin' some Harry Potter and a Lego game.

Looking forward to this one.
All of the Lego (Insert movie title here) games have been a blast, despite whether I liked the source or not, I assume this one will be no different.

but why?
we haven't even seen the special edition of the Clone Wars...
and the extended edition after that ....
...and don't get me started on the special extended edition....
oh oh oh....and i shouldn't forget the 3D remake and the special remake of the extended remake
That should keep everyone busy, so no need for a new story really

I'm interested in what story Old Republic will tell us. It's a few hundred years before Episode I, correct?

@A Sandwich There is a new story every Friday night. Not sure what you guys are talking about.
Most people pass it over as a kids show, but any Star Wars fan can find something to love in the Clone Wars. Dave Filoni and his crew have turned out some great episodes and are truly a breath of fresh air into the Star Wars community.

I don't read Star Wars novels, but I know for a fact the universe has been extended to an extent that only the hardcore fans could fathom.
Besides, the Clone Wars series is barely about the Clone Wars. I watch it every Friday and the stories feel new even though its technically inbetween filler.
George Lucas does not have as much control over the franchise as he used to. In fact, his daughter Katie wrote the most recent story arc in the Clone Wars series which was about Darth Maul's brother.

Nah, the Clone Wars are still going strong. The Savage arc was fantastic and it's not finished yet. And the current arc with the new force users is insane. When Clone Wars runs out of good stories to tell, that's when it's time to retire it. And not an episode before.

Don't forget about the Special Extended Edition remake in 3D to be released in theaters, and the Special Extended Edition remake in 3D BLU-RAY Uber Edition Esquire to be sold individually AND in a special commemorative limited-addition 40th Anniversary Gold Edition at select retailers.

I think they didn't want to compete with a certain crossover game that is much more highly anticipated

MvC doesn't compete with you, you compete with MvC. If Lego Star Wars came out on that same day, MvC3 would DOMINATE IT in sales. And a month isn't a long time when the release date for MvC3 has been know about since late last year.

I gave up my cheeto-eating, Jedi impersonating ways long ago (oddly at the same time I saw Episode II).
I don't have a f$#king clue what's happening anymore with Star Wars.

These games are fun, but still need a new hook.
One thing I'd like to see disappear is chasing freaken lego coins all over the screen. I spend more time each level, chasing those little friggen things, then progressing through the stage. Having them absorb on the character (like God of War) would be a welcome change.
