Wow go LBP2 go, never thought it would stay up there for so long. And yes Dead Space 2 is that good, if you're a veteran though play it on hard otherwise you'll breeze through on normal.

@MrAhh

I play it on casual haha

I don't like dying, it it take away the adventure aspect and reminds me that I'm playing a game.

ha, i'm the opposite way! i'm finishing up the first one and on harder difficulties, it seems like enemies don't drop as much ammo so it adds that extra element of dread for me not knowing what lurks around the next corner and i've only got whatever's in the clip of the plasma gun left. it totally ups the immersion factor of being trapped on a space station for me and makes me forget that it's just a game.

i've got DS2 sitting on my desk just waiting to be played and i absolutely cannot wait!

@spikeylee for sure on harder difficulties are a pain the damn things don't let up, but this time they included a new game + which makes the harder levels easier to cope.

yeah I hear ya, I started it on zealot and felt really paranoid about things but after my 30th death It was like I was playing a game and not going through an awesome space adventure

I like games with a challenge, but I hate dying, especially if it's from something like a random difficulty spike.

In a game like Mass Effect 2, dying just takes me right out of the setting and reminds me that it's a game. It's kind of like if you were watching a movie and the protagonist just dies randomly 32 minutes in, and then you wait 40 seconds for the movie to reload and try it again. Talk about immersion breaking.

So far the best combination for me is playing on the second hardest difficulty level and just trying not to die haha.

I like to think DSG is making all the sales happen

DSG > Isaac Clarke

@HardBoiled2009

Isaac Clarke killed 2 necromorphs while in a straight jacket. One by kicking it into an automatic door and another by headbutting it. He's like the Houdini of killing shit. Your argument is invalid.

I am surprised Dance Central isn't hanging around the top 10.

Oh man, I finished Dead Space 2 this morning at 4 am. A-f*cking-mazing. Although I wish the overall plot was better explained (or explained at all, really) the focus on Isaac as a character was great. Everyone should buy this game.

Good to see that Dead Space is selling well, it's a great game. Although personally I think the first Dead Space was better.

I loved the first one but I like that I'm not being bossed around the entire game this time

Don't get me wrong, I still love Dead Space 2.

Although one complaint I have...

SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT! SPOILER ALERT!

... is why do final bosses in just about any game need to be such bull"#¤%? I mean in almost every game I ever played the last boss is just rubbish, even for otherwise great games like God of War 3, Uncharted 2, Castlevania LoS, Condemned 2, Bioshock and now DS2... the list goes on.

It's hard to make bosses for shooters these days because of how games are designed. Shooters especially. I don't think I've ever seen a challenging boss in a shooter that wasn't made difficult through cheap means. The only games will bosses that pose a challenge are hack and slash games like DMC or Ninja Gaiden, and J/RPG's.

@Heisenberg I wasn't too impressed with NGS2's climbing giant or FFXIII's Picasso boss either, although they weren't the worst in terms of last boss stereotypes. The two types of bosses that are most frequently visited seem to be

1) giant tentacle monster
2) boss on floating platform

It seems like the final bosses are usually done in a hurry at the end of game development on order to meet deadlines. Which is a shame because I'd like my games to end on a high note. :-(

Got to Chapter 5 & not played it for 2 days.. just finding it dull.. Dead Space 1 was far more tense game, with all the noises of necromorphs creeping around really gave it a sinister atmosphere, that I paid attention to every corner even with the tank suit & the heavy firepower plasma cutter, where I'm almost untouchable I still have that sense of paranoia..
With Dead Space 2, I'm just using what ever equipment I get ingame, still sticking to the plasma cutter alone, and I've found myself reading down my DVD & games collection out of boredom... It's like the Americanised version of a Japanese Horror film

man you've barely scratched the surface. I say stick with it. Of course it's not going to be as intense as the last because the first time you have no idea what to expect. But now you know all of the tricks...don't go to the corners, if two are in front of you that means two are behind you ...

it might not be as scary but it is more of an adventure. the zero gravity parts are incredible. and honestly chapters 10 and 11 are as scary as anything in the first game.

Seriously? I find that baffling as barely anything happened in the hallways of the Ishimura and there was so much backtracking it was ridiculous.

Chapter 5 is only after the train part. Shit son get back on that game. If you miss the Ishimura so much and want to revisit it's haunting halls, keep pushing through!

I am sort of surprised and sad to see that Gran Turismo5 isn't on that list.yet, all those Nintendo Wii titles are on there. Well I guess that's what selling millions upon millions of more consoles will do for you.

Anyways, I still have to get around to finishing of the original Dead space-yikes! Plus, if it's anything like the original the price should drop pretty soon.
