If you'd like to party with Pac-Man in a way that doesn't involve playing Pac-Man Party
, head down to Alhambra, California's Nucleus Gallery on March 5. The Southern California Classic Collectors group is setting up 30 old arcade machines, and a dozen or so old consoles, to turn the gallery into a retrogaming paradise.
In addition to the presentation and free play of old games, attendees will be able to hear live chiptunes, take part in commerce in the trading room, play a retrogaming quiz competition and, for some reason, play Rock Band
. Also, because it's Southern California, food trucks will converge on the location, stalking their elusive prey of "hungry people." Tickets are $10 now, or $15 at the door.
