@commenter7 Well, it depends. Most of the "fairy" legendaries aren't in the uber tier, but Mew is, it all depends on the stats, abilities and movepool.
As for Nintendo's tournaments, I think they put all legendaries in one category, but I can't remember if they're allowed or not.

Yeah, the base 600 fairies aren't guaranteed ubers. Manaphy is because of access to Tail Glow, and in rain, it's invulnerable to status and has full instant recovery whenever it wants. Mew is because of its access to a buttload of support moves and its insane versatility. Jirachi and Shaymin are OU.
Quite frankly, Victini would likely be low OU or high UU. It's typing is horrible for the OU environment, especially with Tyranitar around. It can likely thrive in UU though. Who knows...

I've been wanting a fire/psychic type for a long time, (I was really hoping the starter would evolve to fire/psychic and not fire/fighting again) so I'll definitely do this. (And I'm glad it's an item to find catch Victini and not just a free Victini. I prefer to catch them myself.)

I have to wonder why they have an incentive for buying the game early. Pokemon games never drop in price anyway so there's really no reason to put off buying it.

Most Nintendo 1st party games are like this. Zelda/Mario/Layton/DK This is why I purchase Pokemon games new, you get a perfect booklet/box and the odds of the price going up are better than them going down.
