@finalstar2007 Oh yeah, this and all the other free downloads + automatic download/install of game patches makes the $49.99 for 15 months (a measly $3.33/month) very much worth it.

Also, big thanks to Tim and Double Fine - I will be going back and buying Costume Quest to show my gratitude :)

I'd concur, save for the fact they're holding demos behind the Plus curtain. I probably would have bought Mag if I could get to try it, but alas, they won't let me since I'm not a Plus member. It really chaps my rear when they hold demos like that behind the curtain.

So....something that was free in the past is no longer good b/c you have PS+? That's like the worst way to promote your justification for purchasing PSN+. YOU DO KNOW THAT THIS WAS ONCE FREE on PSN!~!!!!!

I also enjoy paying $50 a year so that I don't have to spend 5 seconds pressing a button to download a patch or a demo.

I really wish i was a PS+ member now especially with all the great perks it seems like its getting. For anyone who currently uses it, do you feel like it's been money well-spent?
In any case, I really would like to see that Killzone 3 demo despite Joystiq's well worded yet critical review

I just got my "first" free game since subscription, since i had everything they offered for free (like Sam and Max, Shatter and all that) but i did get DLC for free and its getting better and better, so yes, it is money well spent

@WhiteShield Definitely money well spent. Even moreso if you haven't been buying tons of PSN games (there have been a lot of games that I payed full price for when they came out, only to have them later offered for free or discount on PSN+).

Definitely worth being a Plus subscriber. I owned quite a bit of the free titles at the beginning, but compared to what I put in ($40) versus what I have gotten, I feel like video game royalty....Seriously.

Stacker - $15, Digger - $10....That's $25 right there in about one weeks time. & that's not counting the minis.

@WhiteShield Considering all the free stuff i have gotten, and all the day one discounts i've had (as well as discounts on older games i never got around to) it's the best £50 i ever spent.

And this is coming from someone who has spent upwards of £1300 on PSN. So no it's not only good for people who never buy off PSN, either.

@WhiteShield easily money well spent. i tried the three month, then after it was apparent that I was gonna get a ton of free and discounted stuff, I moved up to the full 13 month year (12 + 1 early adopter). Time and time again it proves worth it.

... which is also why it's nice that Stacking is going to be free on release day, not that I would have bought it anyway, but it's a nice little bonus.

And once that PSP2 comes out, I'm going to have a couple dozen free Minis ready to load up on it (I'm assuming they'll be compatible with the PSP2).

I plan to get Stacking anyway, but if I get it through Plus it doesn't belong to me, does it? If I get rid of Plus the game is no longer playable, right? It's nice to get new games free on Plus now, though, instead of always old games I already have. I'm still not sure if Plus would be worth it for me or not.

It's funny. I don't see anyone bashing PS+ in this thread. I subscribed to PS+ day one and all I remember were all the people complaining about it. Now...crickets. Ahhhhh vindication.

In other news, TWO free PSN games in one month? AGAIN? And one is by TIM FREAKIN' SCHAFER?! Haters can suck it.

I'd rather pay $15 and have access to it if I stopped paying $50/year for PSN+. These are basically rentals.

This is a pretty tired argument by now. I have not seen a single person who went for the full-year subscription who isn't ecstatic about it. Happy customers are returning customers making your point moot.

What happens when the PSN+ service is done away with? What happens to those games? You won't have access to them.

Don't write off valid complaints with fanboy allegience, please. I"m not paying $50/year for content that I can't play if something happens to the service. That's a waste of money to me. At least when you pay for digital titles, you can feel pretty secure knowing that your games will stay tied to your account as long as Microsoft, Sony, Valve, etc., stay afloat as companies.

@KungFuChaosNinja In a year or less, when your PS+ runs out, you can either buy the game (if you enjoyed it and want to replay it + support the developers) or no. I haven't played Deathspank since i beat it a couple months ago, and i paid full price for it. Im not gonna play it again any time soon, but if i do (and that's because i really loved it) if i got it for free i wouldn't mind paying for it.

On your second argument, if Sony stays afloat, so will PS+, and if they decide to shut it down, they'll probably let people keep their stuff so as to avoid getting their offices burnt down to the ground. If xbox gold program is shut down, will they remove online gaming?

Or skip the rental process entirely and pay the $10-$15 for the games. The latter sounds like a much better option.

There's this platform called Steam. Perhaps you've heard of it. Valve has said that if Steam ever goes under, they will patch every game on the service to allow play without worry of DRM.

Now has Sony ever said they'll do the same thing? No. But considering how PS+ is apparently making them money, as Nikkinik said, there's no reason they'd shut it down as long as the company is still going. And on the off chance that PS+ DOES stop, I have faith that Sony will do something similar to what Valve has promised with Steam. Don't be such a Debbie Downer.
