@182

Sony is using marketing via word of mouth, all they have to do is pretend that they know nothing about it, someone has obviously made all this crap up and people start chattering about it until hype builds up, then they jump out and go.

OH, BTW, YOU MAY NOT HAVE KNOWN BECAUSE IT WAS THE BEST SECRET KNOWN TO MAN, BUT WE HAVE A NEW GAMING PHONE! HOW AMAZING IS THAT!

They 'leaked' it to a US website, right? So by definition it's a US commercial. Also, it's a bit ugh for a TV audience, so could even be internet-only?

Really good commercial. Makes me want this phone a lot, too bad I'm on Verizon.

...unless SE decides to like money and pull a Galaxy S/Optimus One "all carriers" move.

@MowDownJoe Neither did Apple until they realized it was smart.

SE used to do CDMA but stopped to focus on GSM. That took Verizon out of the picture, which is really dumb. Hopefully they change this policy. They probably won't but it's not impossible.

I think it's time to stop looking at this as Sony's incompetence at keeping a secret and start looking at it as viral marketing. Initially sure, it was leaked, but at this point, Sony has to be doing this on purpose.

It's getting old. Stick to KB. Until he gets old.

I was always under the impression that a cyborg was a human with robot parts. Is that what a you call a robot with human parts too?

Android and Cyborg are actually more or less the same thing. A Cyborg is just a human with machine parts showing (like the DC Character Cyborg). An Android is human in appearance but has robotics underneath (Like the DBZ Androids).

@Nolan North For the DBZ androids, this is actually untrue. They are referred to in the japanese version as "Jinzoningen". "Artificial humans" is the common translation, though there's nothing that really fits in English, as we make distinctions between robots that look like people and people that have robotic parts.

No. 8, 16, and 19 were completely mechanical, while 17 and 18 were humans with mechanical parts. 20 was a robotic body with the organic brain of Dr. Gero. This is actually a really important distinction, as Cell is unable to absorb a fully mechanical Jinzoningen(as seen in his fight with 16 in his imperfect form). It's also important because it explains a lot of 17 and 18's character, they hated Gero for kidnapping them from their former lives and changing them into weapons. This is brought up especially when Cell's second form tries to speak to 18 with 17's voice. She was unable to tell if 17 was actually speaking to her until Cell said that they will "Finally be able to accomplish Gero-sama's will".

It's competing in the phone market, not the console one.

All the games will also be available for download on the PSP2 and all Android 2.3+ phones.
