Back to the Future monthly episodes begin Feb. 15 on PS3, later this month on iPad

Is the first episode of Telltale's Back to the Future game arriving two months late on PS3, or are we writing this post two weeks early? The monthly Back to the Future journey begins on PlayStation Network on February 15, which, last we checked, isn't now. (An iPad release is also planned for "later this month.")

You can purchase the entire five-episode season on the PlayStation Store for $20, a discount of 20 percent off the PC price. PS3 players, it seems Telltale loves spoiling you guys.

The future is coming to PlayStation Network February 15!

The tremendously popular and critically acclaimed Back to the Future: The Game series will debut on the PlayStation Network Tuesday February 15 in North America, with releases in other regions to follow shortly thereafter.

Back to the Future: The Game highlights:

New Storyline with Marty and Doc. Featuring Michael J Fox and Christopher Lloyd likenesses, with Christopher Lloyd returning to voice Doc, created in collaboration with the Back to the Future trilogy co-writer/co-producer Bob Gale.

Thrilling new Back to the Future experience delivered in 5 parts. Released over 5 monthly episodes featuring incredible story twists, turns and cliffhangers! This purchase gets you all 5 episodes, delivered monthly.

Cinematic Adventure. Play as Marty McFly in an experience true to the films – with all the challenges, excitement and comedic stylings of a bona fide Back to the Future adventure.

Players can get the full 5 game season on PlayStation for $19.99, with delivery of the first episode immediately upon purchase.

The first episode is also expected to release for iPad later this month.

For some reason I'm looking forward to these. Maybe I'm showing my age but I always liked the Back To The Future series.

true story i have this friend who told me she never saw any of the Back to the Future movies when i would spout out references one day... i was perplexed and confused. I thought EVERYONE saw at least the first one.

i did give her the tripple box set for xmas, still huge revelation to me.

Hmmm. I was considering getting it for PC, but this is far more convenient.

I'll be getting this for sure on PSN. Love BTTF and can't wait.

Press release just mentions the price for all 5 episodes. Can you just buy a single episode for now I wonder?

I read another press release on playstationlifestyle.net that says you can purchase the first episode. So I guess you have the option to purchase the first episode if you don't want to buy the entire season.

@Art84 Ok, thanks. I was just curious because I want to get these but am moving (temporarily) in a few weeks and will be without internet there. I didn't want to pay for them all but be limited to the first episode only. Perhaps I'll buy the first episode for now or just wait until I return to "internet land".

@ImpurestCrowd Your in good company :-) I think you might be surprised by the number of gamers of all ages that visit joystiq. My son is 6 months old and he's helping me post this very comment (difficult but not impossible) :-)

Just curious but where's the 360 love from Telltale Games? I don't really care which platform I buy my Back to the Future or Sam and Max on but its peculiar that they stopped developing for the 360 (seemingly) after Wallace and Gromit.

I have the Sam and Max: The Devil's Playground on PSN, courtesy of PSN Plus. I also have a couple of episodes of S&M on the PC.

Q1 2010 is seriously kicking my wallet's ass while I try and save money for school stuff. Oh well, the $20 that this will cost me is totally worth it in time expenditure, so at least I'm spending wisely :)

Since it's a point and click game I hope I can move it move it

I just bought this game on my PS3 and downloading it now. Great Scott. This game will be great.
