@Soc You don't have a DS yet. If you can afford in iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad, you can afford a DS...

iPad and iPod Touch cost more than a 3DS. An iPhone cost astronomically more when you factor in the required contract and data plan. Your argument is invalid.

Please disregard my comment as didn't read that clearly. Drinking doesn't make you cool kids, only makes you look foolish *wobble wobble*

Oh God no.

If there is one thing I hated when playing certain games on my Ipod Touch, is the lack of any other input. I like the stylus option over just touching the screen with my dirty fingers. Yuck..

I really liked the original game but it really went out of the way to hold your hand about the various painting functions. It got really tiresome.

I hope that's not as heavy in this game.

Most anticipated Zeldaesque handheld game of 2010? Okamiden. There, I said it!

Okami was the better of the two wolf based Zeldaesque games on Wii, and a game that ranks in my top 3, based on the style, music, humour and gameplay.

I'm a little peeved that Capcom is making another game seeing as they closed down Clover...

I think the guy who created it disowned it once capcom announced this game. If he doesn't like then I don't like it.

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the gaming community as a whole for the statement I am about to make:

I have not yet played Okami.

That said, when time and money permit, I shall complete this required task, you can be assured of that.

@Churchbus

Okami should really be played with a clean conscious. Appreciating the art, music, and story really comes down to personal experience. I would say from experience, appreciating the gameplay depends on which version you play.

i'll probably get flamed but i didn't like the game. I found it difficult to get into the game because it was so japanese and it was hard to relate to and care about it.

I don't know how to feel about this game as I have a feeling no matter what it won't live up to the original as it doesn't have the team behind it and it's being shoe horned onto a system that can't handle the games intended graphics no matter how hard it wishes it can (the textures are abysmal as all hell from what I've seen). In the original game it ended with Amaterasu and Waka going to where she came from to repel a evil haunting Ammy's original home in the heavens, waka warns "Be ready for battle, it's a much different place then you remember corrupted by evil." the aged Issun closes the game saying we'll follow her adventure into the sky in the next game and suddenly... we get a puppy back in Nippon with some generic evil coming in.
I'll probably pick up the game but it really doesn't feel right at all, it's a same really

The DS is really going down all guns blazing. Golden Sun, Ghost Trick already and a new Pokemon game + this. I looooove my DS!

@TheTARDIS Don't forget that Capcom has one more trick up it's sleeve... the second Miles Edgeworth game, which was just released in Japan. If Capcom holds to form, we'll be seeing that in October/November.

Maybe they'll port it to 3DS with the analog stick for control. I remember thinking the PS2 version was cool but quickly got sick of the repetitive combat and quit playing.

Pre-ordered and excited about this. Loved the original. Played it on PS2 and was (and still is) really enamored by it. I wish they would re-make an up-rezzed version for the PS3 (a la GOW Collection). That art was just too pretty to not want in HD.
