ALL things Ico are amazing. Even unintelligible beckoning.

Fact.

I'm buying this.

But would much prefer a Shadow of the Colossus graphic novel.

@nightmare452

I'd prefer both packaged together in a single book, in HD with trophy support of course :)

A novel?!?! No pictures?!?!?

That's like a zebra with no stripes!

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE Can't wait! It only took 7 years for the book to come to the US!

If the book is good, they need to do one for SotC and TLG. Or better yet, how about one of those artbooks with only a few words and mostly just pretty pictures? That'd work for the games being all arty, and an art book would just give us a real bit of ICO/SotC/TLG that is art, so we can smile smugly at Roger Ebert as we look at our ART from our ARTSY games. :)

Not sure I'll give a hoot-holleruckus about the novel, but I'm definitely planning on grabbing the HD remakes. Getting improved versions of the most amazing games ever created is not exactly optional.

is there anything added to SotC that I don't have on the PS2 version?

@eat it - 3D, HD visuals, and a steady frame rate, to sum it up.

It'll be fun to read Miyabe's take on the Ico storyline, even if it isn't canon. I wonder if she is going to do one (or if Ueda may eventually do one) for SOTC or The Last Guardian.

Either way, this needs to happen more often (I'm still waiting for the Durarara novels to get published in English, among other things). There is so much literature that we simply can't read because it hasn't been translated (not just in Japanese, but also in Chinese, French, and many other languages)

I heard that Viz Media required a lot of hand-holding to get Miyuki Miyabe's book translated to English.

The novel was actually quite poor. I bought it for my girlfriend (she's Japanese) and she didn't like it. So I read it and I didn't like it.

The end.
