I get the feeling that my xbox might breakdown into tears the day this comes out. It knows the fate that awaits it on March 9th.

My review of that video:
Action, Action, Action, Action, Action, Action, Oh look you can fish, Action, Action, You caught a fish!.....TORCHLIGHT. Its like Diablo.......IF YOU COULD FISH IN DIABLO!

Sigh...yes, we get it. Any isometric action RPG on PC is going to be compared to Diablo. I think this game can stand on it's own merits, though, and has plenty of features that aren't in Diablo.

I'm not bashing it. I might get it. And I wouldnt compare it to Diablo 1 because Diablo 1 is old and can't defend itself.

It's a hack & slash made by the many of the guys that made Diablo 1... why wouldn't it be compared?

I shall support this so we can get Torchlight 2 as well and with co-op!
YOU should do the same!

Even if Torchlight 2 doesn't make it to XBLA, at least you can take solace in knowing that if you really want to play it, you can probably play it on your PC.

That's the great thing about this game - it can run on almost PC. It runs amazing on my gaming PC, but it would probably run fine on the Compaq Presario that's from 2003 I have sitting in my closet.

I'm looking forward to this, but I'm assuming it won't have mod support, and there are some very basic flaws with the regular game that mods fixed. Gems without the gem mod are pretty much a waste of time, the permanent pet transformations and respec potions...

And I'll enjoy my $5 PC copy of torchlight too.

As well as this version. Because the game is good enough and the devs deserve it.

While I would like to play this on PC, I don't have a PC to run this game, so some of us have little choice to buy a console port. So maybe you should stop being a jerk and think that some people won't or can't afford to either buy a new PC, upgrade or don't want to fiddle with getting a PC game to run.

I agree with you he is a douce and should be downvoted. But I have to step in for the defence of modsupport. Was the game a perfect 10 all round when it launched no... and this probably won't be either. So there is always something that you personally would like to see differently if only just some little tweaks. And even if a game is a perfect 10 all around, you would like to see more of it. And modsupport could bring that (for free). I however do think this adds something with the new UI and game tweaks this can be played differently (and to some enjoyably) even though I still prefer my kb and mouse for this.

Mod support is good and all, but a game shouldn't be viewed any worse just because it doesn't support them.

Why is anyone excited for the 360 version, honestly?

I'm not trying to be snarky, I'm genuinely curious. Torchlight on PC has a netbook mode. A NETBOOK mode. There's no way you can't run this no matter what PC you have. And it doesn't have online play so it's not like you're waiting for XBL support.

@PointlessPuppies My guess is that some people simply like the interrace of a console more than that of a PC.

If I had to choose between braid for xbox and PC, I'd choose xbox as long as there wasn't a $10 price difference or something. I can see that.

@PointlessPuppies Because I get to have a game that was worked around a controller instead of trying to get it to work on a controller on my PC.

@Robborboy And what's the appeal of playing a Diablo-type game with a controller? To me, that's about as intuitive as playing an RTS with a controller.

Millions of people just simply aren't PC gamers. I've been a gamer since the 80s and I haven't played PC-based games consistently since the days of Sierra. I've just always loved console games so much more.

More like why is ANYONE excited for a Diablo clone without co-op....that's like a singleplayer World of Warcraft.

I'm waiting for the real deal with Diablo III myself. Top quality Battle.net 2.0 support, 8 player co-op, skype voice chat, it's gonna be great.

Never played Diablo 1 or 2 online and they were still great games.

So why wouldn't I want one that doesn't have multiplayer.

it's been said, by the developers, that some of them prefer the xbox version over the pc version. If the people who made the game like it better one way, then I think it's fair for people who want to play game to be excited about it.

So gullible...
I'm not saying it can't be true, All I'm saying is the developer who is trying to make money with a game isn't the greatest source of info. It that was the case I wouldn't play anything else but Peter Molyneux games by now.
