Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars shows off big battles

Lego Star Wars 3: The Clone Wars looks to be the most ambitious entry in the block-based space opera series yet -- at least, from a combat standpoint. This latest trailer promises big ground battles and even bigger space battles.

You know, that 3 would look SO much better next to a Battlefront instead...

Damn right! Enough with this animated clone wars / lego crap. Where's my Battlefront 3?
Or the next Jedi Knight, for that matter? What happened to actually good Star Wars games... All I've seen lately are these lego etc. games and two quite bad (imo) console hack-n-slash games...

Is it just me or have the animations improved a great deal?
I mean, even the subtlety of the jet-trooper using the jet pack to stop his fall that resulted in him dipping, but then increasing in altitude a slight bit.
And the way they are swinging their light-sabers a bit, it looks almost like the characters have weight to them.
Really nice looking, think I will pick this up for sure.

@Robborboy This improvement in animation has shown in the trailer for Lego Pirates of the Carribean too. They really did a good job of getting the attitude of Jack Sparrow into the movement. Keep it up, Tt!

Why is it always an unsupported video format! Come on Joystiq!

My brother loved the complete saga. I'll probably end up picking this up so we can play it together.

this changes every thing for me. the lighting, the sense of scale, (the consistant lego brick building scale!) the animations, everything. it's like they said, lets not make a multiplatform game and conform to the lowest common denominator (wii/ps2) lets pull out all the stops and give them real inspiration to buy.
i was going to pass because i thought it would be more along the lines of 'the complete saga' on ps3 but now, (as long as they include more enjoyable competitive multiplayer,) i think i may have to buy this.

Would have preferred LEGO Shadows of the Empire over this.

I think he meant the android app. Can't show vids on the app, hard to launch articles from app to.

I'll be picking this up for sure, but I still can't stand "chasing" legos all over the screen. I spend more time doing that, each level, then anything else. I was hoping they would change that "endless chase" but I guess not.

probably will pick this up when it hits the bargain bin. i love lego games but aside from the co-op playing, theres not much replayability

(i don't know why my comments got cut off,...)
AND conform to the lowest common denominator (wii/ps2)
conjuntions can make all the difference.
basicly, this game looks like it was truly designed for the power of ps3/xbox360 and then toned down for the other versions instead of designed for ps2/wii and given half hearted hd makeover.
