PlayStation Plus users get The Flying Hamster as free Valentine's gift
35
Nothing says love quite like potted plant-powered aerial rodents, does it? We say that kind of stuff all the time, especially around this most romantic time of year -- and apparently, Sony shares in our unique set of beliefs. PlayStation Plus members have a sweet little surprise waiting for them in their PSN Message Boxes: a warm Valentine's Day message from Sony, and a download voucher for the PSN Mini The Flying Hamster.
Best of all, unlike some of the freebies delivered to PlayStation Plus subscribers, The Flying Hamster won't disappear from your library should you ever decide to cancel your membership. If you've ever seen a more beautiful parallel for love undying, we'd love to hear about it.
[Thanks to everyone who sent this in!]

oh man im so glad i jumped on board with teh Stacking promo PS+ giveaway this weekend. it practically paid itself for the 17$ i spent.
Stacking, Spyro 2, Digger HD, and now this. its really seeming to be worth upgrading to the yearly sub if this keeps up.

It does keep up! We had the full Sam and Max Season a few months ago.

@KiDPANDA All of the Fallout 3 DLC was free one month, Which is equal to £40, The exact price it cost me to sign up to PS+.
Its well worth the yearly sub. Havent looked back since day one.

This would make Richard Gere really happy. Assuming he's a Plus subscriber and still has an affinity for small rodents.

I checked my inbox and didn't see my message, then I realized that I was playing FFVII all day, and maybe I wasn't signed in. Signed in and the message with the download voucher showed up :)

@Kage25 Not sure, it should be available to all PSN+ I would imagine. Have you tried signing out and back in?

So good! Been eyein' this one since right before (or at?) its release, and to have it for KEEPS. *legs wobble*

When I downloaded it they gave the standard Plus terms disclaimer, I wouldn't count on it sticking around if your membership expires.

@SolidSnakeEyes
Find the game in your XMB, then click triangle -> Information. You'll notice that the expiration is set to never, unlike most other stuff.

I am a PS+ member....and have been dubious of the value it has supposedly provided me since I joined....but I will admit they have been picking up the slack lately with some very good bonuses for PS+ members....but they still have a ways to go. I am hoping they put some of the + funds towards improving the PSN online service as a whole.
Personally have never cared much for the Free MINIs they have thrown out so I hope this one is good.
