New Batman: Arkham City screens, featuring 'Joker's Extreme Closeup'
46
Remember back on Wayne's World when Wayne and Garth would put their faces all up in the camera for "EXTREME CLOSEUPS?" Apparently, the Joker was a big fan, as seen in the latest slew of screens from Batman: Arkham City. Party on, Joker!

She looked better in the 90s batman cartoon. There, I said it.

I will agree that she looked better in the 90s cartoon than in Arkham Asylum but Arkham City might change my opinion. Its more of the red and black.

And don't forget Catwoman in AC!

I look at that screenshot and you just know the last word of the sentence the Joker has uttered is "BATS!"

Definitely. I think Superman needs a reboot like this.

I think I speak for everyone here when I say that what the fans really want it a deep, probing, revealing view of Harley.

Does anyone know who will be the voice actor for joker in this game? I remember hearing something about mark hamill not doing another joker role which would be really sad considering his amazing job in the cartoons and the last game.

@DV8ing1
I think THIS is Hamill's last time. Arkham Asylum was going to be the last one, but due to its success, they had to make another one. And it wouldn't be the same without the eternal voice of the Joker.

Wait, when did Harley turn into Gothwoman?
Posted: Feb 16th 2011 1:42PM DeadInside said
And I'm still confused why the game is called Arkham City and not Gotham City or something else. Its like they really wanted to use the word 'Arkham' again and just put 'City' after it because this time you run around Gotham. So the next games will be Batman: Arkham State, Batman: Arkham Country, Batman: Arkham World...Batman: Arkham Universe?

I initially disliked it, but it makes sense for two reasons.
SPOILERS (in case anyone on here hasn't played AA for some godawful reason...)
1) plot-wise, they cordoned off a segment of the city to function as a slum of sorts to hold all the criminals that were temporarily (Blackgate explosion) and more permanently held in Arkham Asylum. it's a small city, thus Arkham City
2) marketing-wise, the "Arkham" segment of the name is pretty notable and valuable so people will recognize it as the brand, and sequel to the first game. it seems silly to us, the ones with gaming knowledge, but it's kinda meant to lure in the non-gamers, buying it for a gamer. "hey ricky, loved that batman game...Park-sham somethin. this sounds similar, lets get it."

Thanks for Point 1. But kinda depressing for Batman to have to re-catch all the guys he beat up in the first game. Such is life for a comic hero.
Point 2 was what I was getting at.
Bewoulf, I didnt say that I didnt enjoy the game. I said I didnt like the title of the second game. Big difference. I would buy the second game even if it was called Batman 2: Arkham's Revenge

@thisredengine I agree. But that is because it was actually creative and a play on the name harlequin. These days it is sufficient to make a chick hot, skanky, and emo then it is such a cool design.

You know, I waited on Arkham Asylum until it was $7 on clearance at Target. And it was an *incredible* game, one of the best I've played in the last few years. It may have convinced me to pay full price for AC.
Well...maybe not *full* price. Maybe "first week on sale at Target for $40" price :)
