Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 'Reverie' DLC delayed until March

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow's "Reverie" DLC, originally set to be released this month, has slipped into March according to an announcement on the Castlevania Facebook page. "Our apologies for the delay but it's going to be worth it!" That "unruly evil" that Gabriel and Laura track down in the DLC is only going to be more unruly the longer we let it stew.

Konami offered no reason for the delay, but a late, complete DLC pack is always preferable to a buggy, punctual release. It is also unknown whether this delay will cause the followup DLC to slip out of its April release window. We're checking in with Konami to find out when it has scheduled the "Resurrection."

Never bought the game I think I'll wait on the dlc hoping they tie in a price break with dlc.

The arcade castlevania game has so much dlc I am suprised they dont have more coming in a steady stream. Rip off type dlc like character skins.

that will give me more time to play the main game.

The game was pretty but I had more fun with the N64 version.

Actually to be honest, I found the game Nier to be much more fun and similar in theme and concept to Castlevania except with a lot more likable characters and a better plot.

But for some reason one got hyped up and one didn't and that is all it takes in the game industry today to be a success of not.

@lonecow Wait. Wasn't Nier the game that had trailer after trailer trying to show the game off as Japan's God of War? Even going so far as to use Laura Bailey's above and beyond cursing with a static image? Don't get me wrong, I like Nier, but it was built up MUCH more than Castlevania.

Lords of shadow had the initial teaser before it was a Castlevania game. And then the trailer that had Patrick Stewart on the english version.

Castlevania Lords of Shadow sold much better than Nier for a few obvious reasons.

1. It is BEAUTIFUL. No levels looks the same. And let's face it, alot of gamers love their eye candy.
2. It had Kojima attached. And he even voiced the Chupacabras.
3. All Star cast. Patrick Stewart? Robert Carlyle? Yea.
4. Likened to both God of War and Shadow of Colossus.
5. It was just a damn fun game.

Nier had an excellent story, and that's what I played it for. But fpor the combat.....it was a bit lacking.
