Damn so that's what it was. I lost about five hours of gameplay and never really was at interested again.

Dlc prices are ridiculous on this game.

@Jack Kevorkian

The DLC would probably be worth it if any of them contributed to gameplay - but as it is, $10 for a virtual sofa and coffee table is certainly a hard sell.

Solution: buy the PC version.

@CaptainProtonX

I was playing the Sims 3 yesterday and my housewife Mrs. T all of a sudden forgot how to use the oven. I would tell her to make some mac and cheese and she would get the ingredients out of the fridge, than just put those on the counter, stand around for a bit, and than quit and start to clean the house.

I've tried getting Mr. T to cook, I've tried getting a new oven, and I've tried moving the oven, but nothing works. My family has just FORGOTTEN how to cook.

So the PC version is by no means a perfect solution.

@liquidsoap89

The true solution to that is to leave them in the kitchen, delete all the doors and issue an ultimatum. Cook macaroni and cheese or die with a full bladder.

Has anyone else had the re-occurring puddle? My Sim's shower broke, I fixed it, mopped up the puddle and 20mins later the puddle was back with nothing broken, used the Karma power to fix and clean everything, part of the puddle was still there and then it started to spread! I then made my Sim mop it up again, it was all gone and then.. back again, it then decided to spread, then shrink, then spread in a different direction and shrink again etc..
I dont think I have ever seen so many glitch's in a game.. EA, you have really dropped the ball on this one! ..and to make matters worse when you email them asking why you spent $100 NZ on a game that is basically un-playble at a certain point, they simply send you back a generic email that, (very nicely), insinuates that its most likely your Xbox's fault. *sigh*

@daniellenz Plenty of bugs like this - and that response is what you get no matter what you ask them. That's why I made the video and I'm trying to get this made public - EA are being extremely arrogant about the situation.

No patch yet, but of course extra paid DLC! Excellent work.

Ahem.

I'm sorry, but who plays The Sims anymore?

@skell Could you be any more ignorant?

It's EAs biggest franchise next to Madden. You're a fool if you think nobody plays it. The reason they release expansion after expansion is because millions of people play it daily, globally, constantly.

@MrXBob

I actually meant what type of Joystiq reader plays The Sims. I can't imagine the type of Sims players I know frequenting a site like this on a regular basis.

Nevermind though, thanks for the insult!

@skell Gamers are gamers are gamers. Joystiq posts about sports games all the time - I wouldn't touch them with a 10 foot pole, but I still frequent this site.

"continuing to look into it."

Ah...I remember the last time I heard that with the Army of Two DLC a year ago. They started deleting all the complaint threads on their AoT forum and then took the money and ran without fixing it

@ftank1 That is exactly what they're doing now. It's been like this since November, and they've deleted my posts from the thread of complaints because I was the only one calling them on it.

I've been campaigning against them on Twitter for over a month now - Joystiq and ingamingwetrust are the only people that reported on it.
