In addition to Jurassic Park, Telltale is currently adapting The Walking Dead and the Fables comic book series into games, reports All Thing's Digital's eMoney blog, part of the WSJ network. The developer is expected go into detail on the titles at a pre-scheduled press event tonight, during which a total of five multiplatform projects are supposed to be announced.
According to eMoney, the Fables game is part of "an exclusive worldwide publishing agreement" with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, while The Walking Dead game will be based on the AMC television adaption of the franchise (which also originated as a comic). Steve Allison, SVP of marketing for Telltale, told the site that he thinks The Walking Dead has the potential to become a $20–30 million franchise for the studio.
"See the movie, play the game doesn't work anymore," Allison said, "but the way we make content, it does." Both new series are expected to be episodic adventure games, in line with Telltale's current and past efforts, and "will trickle out over the next year," according to eMoney, through digital retailers including Telltale's online store and Steam.

Really? The show is possibly the best TV show out since Lost (personal opinion) and they had to go do the lame ":THE VIDEO GAME" thing to it.

@PR0F3TA The comic book had to do the lame "TV Thing" too so there you go.

I dunno, Telltale Games has done a remarkable job not raping the licensed properties it's worked on.
In fact, so far Telltale has only made episodic point-and-click adventure games based off existing properties, and they've all received a fair amount of critical praise. I mean, the first two Back to the Future episodes seem to be rubbing folks the right way.
I've got faith the they won't run The Walking Dead into the ground.

A point-and-click "anything" game isn't a day-one buy for the a lot of folks. It's definitely a niche genre, when compared to...well, any other genre.
Graphic adventure games have their fans, I being one of them. But yeah, I can totally understand your trepidation.

I'm a huge fan of the show (and lost) as well, but making quick buck games from popular Shows/Movies/Comics is nothing new & wont detract from the show itself. The silver lining is that there's little to no expectation for games like this to be good- so if they can do a decent job of it it'll be real win, if not it really wont matter.

Actually, Bryan Cranston (AMC's Breaking Bad) mentioned in an interview that the second season of Walking Dead could air as early as July.
Here's to hoping...

Fables is one of the best comics ever (right up there with the walking dead). I am really excited for both of these. I hope they don't mess them up.

I love how everyone here only recognizes Walking Dead...
Fables is possibly my favorite comic of all time. Interested to see where this goes.

I personally thought The Walking Dead was pretty stupid. Especially the pilot episode. The guy wakes up in a hospital, everyone is Zombie-fied, he gets KO'ed by a black dude, wakes up in their house, and it STILL takes him like 20 minutes to ask "What the hell happened?!" Also didn't like the rag tag group of ethnically diverse, cookie cutter characters. I think I may be all Zombied Out.

I was excited at the thought of a Walking Dead game. Zombie anything is usually great. But everything I've seen from TellTale games has been very cartoony. I was hoping for a Gears of War style grittiness.

Check out the graphical style for Telltale's upcoming Jurassic Park game.
Granted, it certainly doesn't have a harsh, Unreal Engine look, but it's also not as hyper-stylized as their previous.
Though, admittedly, all of Telltale's previous games have been based on cartoon properties, so there's a good reason they looked the way they did.

Still need to watch The Walking Dead. I've only heard very good things and very moronic people about it.

man it's an awesome show. a friend mentioned how she didn't like it (has a weak stomach she said *shrug*) so i watched it to see what it was all about and i was hooked. don't think i'm interested in a game tie-in but at least that means they think it's a marketable show that will stay around for a while. can't wait for season 2.

It's zombie goodness week, everybody. Yesterday, Dead Island awesome trailer. Today, Walking Dead game announced.
Tomorrow: L4D3 announcement. Come on Valve, we know you want it too.

I got hooked bad on the Walking Dead show too but I really wonder what format they would take with a game. It would be nice to see something other than the standard fps genre.

Any word on Season 2 for Walking Dead? The season finale felt like a waste of time, but enjoyed it overall.

Well AMC always does that shit with thier new shows. Breaking Bad and Mad Men were only 7 episodes long for the first season, though I think Mad Men got 5 more out quicker to qualify for the first season.

I'm real curious how Telltale will pull off a Walking Dead game. They've been great for comedy games, so that'll get real interesting to see how they handle a license like Walking Dead that is so serious.

Still waiting for Invader Zim to get picked up though. Make it happen Telltale

The lack of Fable talk is disgusting especially considering that they're using okay with some good moments here and there TV show for The Walking Dead rather than the absolutely terrific comic.
Fables as a game is what people should be excited about with these two announcements.
