Stranger than Fiction is a really decent movie and at least worth watching once.

Looking at the middle two, I assume this is an elaborate ruse by the American auto makers to destroy Toyota's image.

What if we have this problem and it'll take more than a week to download the video files (or game updates)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0UdKBwwvxU
Demos or games or online play, no problem, but videos and updates? What the hell...

@DigitalFortress I have AT&T U-verse, it's fiber optic. I can download games and demos in moments, as of last week videos and game updates take 1500+ minutes. It isn't my internet.

Would Highlander be too obvious a choice for a Toyota Highlander promotion?
Guess so.
Oh well. There's always Ghost Rider.

You know, I really loved Stranger Than Fiction for some reason. Will Ferrell was different in if for once.

It's because the movie was earnest, and had heart. Most people went into looking for a mindless comedy like most other Will F. movies, but came out of it dealing with their own mortality and buoyed by the courage of an extremely (seemingly) vanilla man performing an extraordinary act that many of us are capable of doing, but are afraid to.
I say that the world is better by having this movie in it. How many movies nowadays can you say that about?

I should probably already know this, but I don't.
Does XBLA do this at all? Because I don't think I have ever seen them do free movies like this.

@Saga286 Well not sure if you're trolling but from what I understand Xbox live members get netflix in their online service. So I think they probably would not bother offering free movies when they want you to subscribe to gold to play online, etc. I do not own an xbox 360 though.

@Saga286 Sony owns a major movie studio and rights to hundreds of films it makes it much easier for them to do this. Not really Microsoft's bag unfortunately.
Sony should do it more often with the library at its disposal. Seems like the perfect ad and cost Sony very little.

No trolling here. You have to pay for Netflix even if you have a Gold account for XBLA. It would be nice though if every once in awhile they allowed us gold members to get a free movie or something.
And thanks for your explanation Jack Kevorkian. I forgot about that.

@Saga286 I still have a free episode of Sarah Silverman on my HDD they gave out when the show was first promoting itself. It happens to be her best episode "Not Without My Daughter" which is a treat. I remember a weekend a looooong time ago they gave away an Austn Powers flick. Point is, it happens but very rarely.
Kinda left up to advertisers since once you give it away...its gone.

What a weird selection of films.
Stranger than Fiction is the only one on the list that even remotely holds my interest...
...still, free is free.

@Saga286 I had no idea, I assumed it was included in the Gold Package all rolled in to one. Well then in that case maybe MS can work out a deal with a free movie every once in a while for you guys.

Cool move. Anyone know how the PSN movie downloads work? Say I dont leave my PS3 on to download all of the movie will it continue if I turn it back on a day later? I know with the 360 its 14 days to watch but 24 hours to finish after its started.
Posted: Feb 28th 2011 10:49AM TheUndertaker85 said
@AFATALERR0R Yes, you can continue the download even if you shut your PS3 off. With the PS3 you have 30 days to watch it but after activated it's the same 24 hours.
