@Troy Powers I think the point is you don't have to hold your calls. It comes with the back hands and mask right?

I liked when he argued with Marcus for the psp ad. Nice to hear appeal still works in his favor on this stuff, good guy.

I don't own a playstation, but I love their commercials with Kevin Butler. First one was pretty good. My favorite is still the GT5 one if I remember correctly.

I am amused at the fact that the guy's cup somehow separates from the lid before it falls.
Guess holding the cup with the lid separated and dropping them both at once was a little harder.

I tried finding this gun at retailers but have yet to see it. Anyone have an official listing somewhere? Doesn't seem to be something that will be out in time for killzone 3.

It comes out the same day as Killzone 3.

Kevin Butler - VP of approving.... stuff.
Lol loved the 1st one. Love all the additional details they add into the settings, from the Helghast statue, to the Playstation Mug and even making sure theirs a copy of KZ3 on the table. The US adverts are so much better than ours.

You know, being someone who's never played Killzone 2 much less the first Killzone.....I think I need to get started soon. By the time I get to Killzone 3, it'll be June and there might be a price drop.

@andrewpoe You know? On of the best things about Killzone is its mutliplayer. You may better get as soon as possible, so you can enjoy ful throttle the multiplayer experience, by that time, maybe the community will be not as big as the beginning.

Kevin Butler isn't really funny to me anymore. His type of humor hasn't expanded, and the jokes usually end up being the same things. It saddens me that Joystiq gives him the same worshipful treatment that Kotaku does. I figure he's got another year or so as a useful spokesman. Then we'll see some jumping the shark of one form or another, and he'll be done. This is gonna be a loooong year.

I feel like I'm in the minority here, but Kevin Butler is one of the reasons why I DON'T buy a PS3. I absolutely hate that guy. He's extremely obnoxious. I realize he's just a character, but I feel like he's a representation of what Sony is all about, with that overbearing and pompous attitude. This marketing campaign totally backfires for me, but if the majority of people are into it then I guess Sony is doing something right. Something I will never understand.
Poor Jerry Lambert. I liked him better when he was an intern at Geico.

@Fuzunga If you buy things or dont, purely by their mascots or ads, then you are screwed.
Better try to research what things like or dont like about some device, like features, advantages and other things like that.
You have serious problems buddy.

How sad is it that I get downvoted for expressing my opinion while the moronic response gets upvoted? And not just me, but the guy above me and the guy above him. Oh, that's right. I guess none of YOU would see it that way.
It's pretty depressing when an honest-to-goodness legitimate comment is marked as a troll post. And does Joystiq care? Nope. They don't give a damn. If I ran this site, ObiAlKenobi and HardBoiled2009 would AT LEAST be suspended for unnecessary roughness. I think it's simple enough to spot a troll, and I'm not one.
Come on, guys! Be excellent to each other!
(no one will ever read this because it will be dimmed out in a matter of minutes)

You'd suspend them for "unnecessary roughness" after you said Sony is extremely obnoxious, said KB has an "overbearing and pompous attitude" (which, by the way, is meant to be more of a "comical cool guy" attitude, like Charlie Sheen in Hot Shots! I suppose).
You could have simply stated something like, "For some reason I've never liked this character. I love him in other works, but KB and I just don't click. Congrats to Sony on what appears to be a successful marketing campaign though."

I've been playing Killzone 3 beta online with the Move sharp shooter and it is awesome. Once you get used to it, it's actually faster then the normal controller. I get more kills with the sharp shooter then I do with the DualShock. If you are a shooting fan or a casual gamer I would recommend to purchase the Move and try it out for yourself. You wont be disappointed. Playing with the Move adds a new experience that cannot be had using the normal controller, it feels as though you are actually in the game holding a real gun. As I happen to own a 3D TV it works well and adds depth to the game and the graphics is insane.
Killzone 3 is going to be the best FPS game ever, can't wait.

After finding Killzone 2 demo a little meh (way better than Resistance1 - but no demo for 2 :S ).. Killzone 3 demo was much more interesting.. although the healing ray was a bit of a threat-killer.. but I would have to do 2 before 3.. not even going to consider using any motion crap
