Multiplayer war in Total War: Shogun 2 encapsulates nearly everything

Sega has released a multiplayer trailer for Total War: Shogun 2. The war does appear large, though we're not so sure it's total. There are clearly some empty spots on the battlefield, and they're not even filled with corpses! Then again, we suppose "Substantial War" doesn't have the same ring to it.

@Spookimitsu You'd be sad if you had to play such a game using a console.
PCs exist for a reason! One of them is commanding armies.

I'm just excited that this game exists. The only problem is that I may be the only one of my friends that's interested in playing it.

I wish they branched out a bit... getting kinda sick of their rehashes... they've done the western side of things i.e. greek/persian/egyptian/roman and the medieval stuff as well as conquering the New World. How about some China/Mongolia/Korea/Japan/Thailand action, would especially love to see Genghis Khan vs. China :)

I personally was pining for a sequel to Shogun since I bought, played and disliked Empire. Shogun and Rome were my favourites I think mainly due to their settings and the gameplay that springs inherently from them.

All i care about is a solid grand campaign.
Empire was amazing just in the leap from medieval as far as graphics, physics and GUI upgrades. But line infantry musket combat is (in a video game relatively boring).
I would love to see all the new graphics/GUI/physics updates applied to a combat system of range, cavalry and infantry much like medieval, which is what i think and hope shogun 2 will be war.
