Oh Ameratsu, grant me the gift of a DS (or 3ds) so that I can play Okamiden.

@The Only Girl
Except Ameratsu is the sun goddess/wolf from the first game?

@Sonictheratherquickhedgehog

What the nice man is trying to say is that it's actually Amaterasu who was in the first game, not Ameratsu.

So let me get this straight, I have to update my Wii, find the download, download the download, sync my DSiXL, download again, to play a demo on a console that has an online store?

Or just download online--if you have a flashcart.

Pretty sure there's one to many downloads in there, but yeah dsi's unfortunately cant get demos on their lonesome.

Looking forward to trying the demo, been a while since I played Okami.

@SheppyReturns To be fair, you're making it sound considerably more complex than it actually is. It's more like:

1) Go to the Nintendo Channel on your Wii (why isn't it already updated? Latest firmware works fine with Homebrew.)
2) Go to the demos section & pick the Okamiden demo.
3) Pick the "Download Play" option from your DS's menu when the Wii tells you to.
4) Play the demo.

And I JUST traded in my DSi to go towards a preorder for a fancy new 3DS. Oh well.

This game needs to be out for wii. I've already played the original on the ps2, so I'd love to play this on ze big screen.

BTW, for those that might just pirate the game, if you are a fan, the actual game comes with a "celestial brush" stylus, which is fab.

While the demo was short, it certainly got my hopes up as far as gameplay/graphics goes.
It seems much like Okami in every sense.
The graphics look wonderful on the DSi, just beautiful.
While wandering (at least in the little tutorial zone you're in, like the first game) the camera is set at a almost top-down view, tilted a bit. Actually, this is quite useful for the puzzle solving that I have no doubt will come later in the game. The brush is natural... Unlike on the ps2 where I turn everything into a bloom. The battle was pretty nice even while so limited in the demo. In battle you're also at your nice 3rd person again. I have high hopes.
I just hope the story isn't ruined by this game.
Tarnishing the first would be sin!
