What in the hell is the point of buying games, if you're just going to sell them less than a month later?
Never heard of Gamefly?

Probably same people who complain the Gamestop is a horrible place. Yeah if you buy a game for $60 and sell it 2 weeks later for $30. You may as well go rent it.

@mywhitenoise of course i have. i had it for about 6 months, but then the games started getting stolen out of my mailbox and they wont let me activate an account with them anymore.
Seriously, downvoted? I beat the game, played through it twice, i loved it. The multiplayer was pure garbage though. Why would i keep a game that i wouldnt play anymore.
Also, i dont do gamestop, i do craigslist, i sold it for 40 bucks, i dont know why im explaining this, people really care that much about it?

I also sold it. I beat it and loved it but had no interest in playing extraction, another playthrough of the campaign or multiplayer so I figured I could get almost all my money back and put it towards KZ3 ... which I did just that.

The main reason I sold it is because I couldn't play it with the kids around and one of our favorite activities is playing games / watching each other play games. It was just way to gruesome and hardcore for a couple of 9 year olds to watch.

Thats why I sold it. Ended up clearing about $40 so it worked out good for everyone. Someone else out there got a good deal on a new game, EA got a new copy out of me at full retail price, I got to play an amazing experience that is to this point my GOTY and now I can play PS3 without having to boot the kids from my man cave.

There's nothing wrong with buying and selling...it's just like a longer term rental. Only problem now is that the depreciation hit has gotten worse for single-player only titles.

no need to be a dick. personally, i like to keep most of my games, and so for selling a few games comes out cheaper than the $15/month for Gamefly. everyone has their reasons for what they do.

We should be applauding EA. It must have taken incredible willpower to delay announcing this paid DLC. They almost waited a month!

@thisredengine Get used to this trend, dude. They want to keep you from trading in the game, so DLC comes out pretty quickly.

And it's not just EA.

@Dirty Honestly, it's not so much the DLC itself, but the timing. I much prefer it when companies announce their full plans for DLC BEFORE the game ships, so we have a better gauge of how much a company is going to be supporting said game.

Well a company might not know how well a game is going to sell, based on the first game not selling great. Hard to support a game unless it sells well.

You think this wasn't planned? You can't make DLC in a month and announce it so early to a release. They've been working on it for sure.

The way Issac's helmet opens up in this game is how I want Shepard's to work in mass effect 3. Both are EA companies, SYNERGIZE.

I guess considering I paid 4 bucks per chapter for the main game this price isn't outrageous.

Anyone know if it adds achievements?

If you had to break down your DS2 experience in terms of perceived financial "value," you did it wrong.

Everyone does it with every game, which is why some many people complain about single player games costing 60 bucks. Every person decides whether or not a game is worth X amount of dollars based on personal factors.

Also, isn't that exactly what the DLC is doing? Buying 2 more chapters for 7 bucks. So I was trying to figure out how they arrived at that price.

If you want you can break it down by hours played, but it's more or less the same thing.

You obviously don't have the vaguest clue about how game development works. They probably went gold and while the manufacturing and other things were being taken care of, started making Severed. If you have a passionate team with great ideas that want to make it, why wouldn't you?

Would you rather a bunch of them be laid off because the game shipped? That seems to be the case with most developers.

Did you even read about Severed? It's Gabe and Lexine from Extraction. It didn't belong in DS2 because that was Isaac’s story.

If you were here, I'd smack the back of your head like an older brother for being so ill informed.
