Command & Conquer games 75% off on Steam this weekend
21
Now that Victory Games and a new Command and Conquer are official, it's time to be reminded of the series' decline over the years. Good thing Steam is there with deep discounts this weekend on the freefalling franchise.
If you're looking for "serious" RTSing, check out Command & Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars ($7.50). If you'd prefer something a little bit more quirky, go for Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 ($5). What about Command & Conquer 4? No such thing exists, sorry. But if it did, it would cost $5 right now. Just saying.

I haven't played Command & Conquer since, well, Command & Conquer, the first one. Most of the reviews I've read about C&C4 can be pretty much summed up with "it's not real C&C because it's changed so much"; that being said, will I like C&C4 on its own merits?

Besides the fact that C&C4 is terrible, is there any other reason why the third game cost more than the 4th?

C&C4 isn't bad for the multiplayer if you prefer something fast paced.
Having said that, the SP campaign is just quite possibly the worst piece of shit ever, anywhere.

There's a Red Alert 3? I don't pay much attention to PC games and after the disasterpiece that is C&C4 I lost all interest in RTS games. Yep, I'm in.

Very good news. I own a lot of them, but for that price, it will be nice to rebuy them and integrate them into my Steam account so I don't have to keep track of the discs.

Screw the new stuff just go back and play C&C1 and tiberian sun for free from ea. Those are probably the best in the series besides everyones favorite RA2. Like some people once C&C hit 3D I just lost the love for it, even trying to see if it would cone back after each new game. Thankfully I didn't play C&C4 which I heard was more of a slap in the face than anything else

Not cool. I just spent $15.00 for Red Alert 3 on direct2drive a few days ago... and Red Alert 3 sucks... and even more uncool, Steam doesn't have the Mac versions of these games... still not impressed with Steam's Mac Support.
