MotorStorm Apocalypse closed beta in session

A MotorStorm Apocalypse private beta test is underway, according to an invitation forwarded to us by a UK-based tipster. The beta includes four scheduled event nights over the next two weeks, as detailed in the invitation (in full after the break), which are intended to stress test the servers and online matchmaking leading up to the game's April 12 launch.

According to a recent thread on the Official PlayStation Community (EU) forums, the beta appears as "Network Beta Trial Notification - PlayStation 3 beta Trial PSN" to better disguise its identity. Don't take it personally -- it's private, after all. You'll likely get your test run in the (public) demo, which is due on PSN before the full Apocalypse.

isn't this the kinda stuff us PS+ were suppose to be able to get in on as well?

@ansalon929 Yes, but later. Not before the actual beta testers.

There are 3 stages now:

1. Official Beta testers.
2. PS+ members.
3. Full public beta.

I suspect the majority of PS+ members would only be interested in getting the game before others, and not in actually testing/reporting.

Mind you, given these constant leaks, the same could be said of many actual beta testers. I'd much rather people like the one who leaked this were kicked from the scheme, and those PS+ members who would take it seriously took their place.

As Paranoimia said we're testing it at present, finding bug's and what not which we report to host.

The beta PS+ and public get is just really for server testing and hyping up a game.

@ansalon929 Yeah, I'm not feeling the love, either. That's just because this is one of the only games I'm excited for in the next couple of months. But like it was said above, I'd bet it will come to + members in a couple of weeks.

Had this one marked on the calendar since E3 last year. Can't wait.

Any GAP members out there get an invite to this beta?
I don't see the point of being a GAP member, I've been in it since 2003 and in all that time I've had 3 email questionnaires about PS game covers and one invite into a beta.
The hell with PS+ members, GAP members should be getting in on this first
