Just shows what happens when developers really take a step back and make an effort to create something APPROPRIATE for the target, both in scope, and controls. Wish more studios thought like this.

You'd think they would do this, but they don't. All those dual analog stick iPhone FPS's make me cry.

Honestly, I think the analogue/trackpad combo (Modern Combat, NOVA) would work greak if the volume rocker could be used or ADS and firing your weapon. I always feel like the biggest problem with those games is that too much is going on with your right thumb.

Two virtual analogue sticks (like CoD: Nazi Zombies on iOS) is complete garbage though. And I handle dual sticks just fine on a console.

@ForeverAndEver

Epic is a developer, not a publisher. For example, Gears is published by Microsoft and Bulletstorm is published by EA Partners.

This was a great panel, I really enjoyed it. It was awesome to hear him happy with my sci-fi question during the Q&A. Can't wait to see more of the IB lore.

Are there any plans for this to come to Android or Windows Phone?

I loved Infinity Blade though it got a bit repetitious. The design made it easy to pick up and play and the graphics were really nice. If they can make a full fledged game out of it then I'll be the first in line. I also think their points are exactly how iPhone games need to be made. I hate it when I can't see what I'm playing because my fingers are covering most of the screen to reach the virtual buttons.

This is what I came in to say. It was fun and interesting for two or three playthroughs, but the gameplay doesn't have hardly any variety. I describe the game to people as a Mike Tyson's Punch Out version of Demon's Souls, but MTPO's fights were much more varied and relied on strategies a opposed to pure stats and reaction time.

I like Infinity Blade, but I feel like it could have been better, and that much of its praise is due to the gorgeous graphics.

Thank God someone thinks the same way I do (I was honestly feeling alone). I guess my expectations for Infinity Blade were too high, especially after they touted it as "console-quality".

Every time I see a review for the game, I feel they're being won over by the graphics and not the gameplay alone. In short, as much as a technical accomplishment IB was, it kinda falls into the regular App Store formula (games that last about 10 minutes before boredom).

I imagine it didn't take long to make because there's not a lot to it. Beyond the graphics, of course.
It just felt too "lite" for me.

I love this game so much. Especially in comparison to Gameloft's games, which make no effort to be original or unique for the platform.

OMG, a Windows pc being used for a presentation! I was led to believe only Macs could do that.

@chrisgrant If that's the case, who published Infinity Blade in the first place? What about Epic Citadel? While Epic, like other companies in the NC area focus on 3d graphics and software industry, as well as develop their own games and engine, they have published titles in the mid 90s.
