Weekly Webcomic Wrapup is pre-PAX prepping

It's time, once again, for the gaming community to brace itself for the physical toils and biological terrors associated with the Penny Arcade Expo. The most Eastern edition of the event will begin on Friday -- but before we can cross the threshold of the convention center, we need to prepare ourselves. You know, mentally, spiritually and immunologically. (Please keep your plague-riddled hands away from our persons, cool?)

Yes, but this is part of a story arc. Really hate when 'Stiq posts a random part of a BitF story arc without any context and then people hate on it for not being funny.

Went with Of Noobs and Men. Just because it made me realize how all of those powerful characters duking it out is so senseless. They could all band together and take over the world, but no, they have to punch each other.

But I suppose if they did all band together the game wouldn't be very fun.

I voted Penny Arcade because it gave me an audible laugh, but Extra Life was a close runner-up giving me a silent inner laugh.

I'm torn between Penny Arcade and Extra Life.

I did get my lulz from the PA strip when I saw it a couple days ago (thank you, RSS feeds) but Extra Life is funny (because I did almost the same thing, minus the raging Hulk part), yet sad.

Virtual Shackles wins for the best Venn diagram ever, or at the very least the most topical of the week.

I wish I could appreciate Penny Arcade the way a lot of other people do, but mostly they just annoy me - it seems like they always go for the most obvious joke possible.

Extra Life was pretty good, and so was No Cash Value. My vote goes to NCV, because Bioware has it coming for those ridiculous camera angles on Miranda's booty in ME2.

@Electrium I agree with the Penny Arcade thing, especially in this strip's context. I'm pretty sure we've all thought that joke up a year or so ago when they first announced Black/White.

And yet somehow they almost always manage to win.

Yeah, that 48DDragon Age joke would be real funny, if I didn't know why that shit happens in DA2. That's one of the few things I was actually impressed with in DA2, that because you're being told Hawke's story by people and they add thier own twists. That's actually pretty neat. And Varric is obsessed with tits.
