Evil Genius was, well, genius. And it had an AMAZING soundtrack.

@Unvrfd

Damn straight. I was pleasantly surprised by every aspect of Evil Genius, but the music just straight-up kicked my ass.

I tried the Evil Genius game on Facebook..

It's only Evil Genius in name. Sadly.

They should just get out of the "core" game business altogether. They haven't made a good game since...well, pretty much ever.

Rather than make more "social" games, how about making another Evil Genius game? That'd certainly be something I'd set my watch to.

I don't know about you fellas, but I'd sell my family into slavery if it meant getting an Evil Genius 2.

I find it very ironic that a developer called Rebellion gives in and starts developing social games. Profit over quality isn't particularly rebellious.

It's amazing to think that these guys were responsible for the original Aliens vs Predator on the Jaguar, which was brilliant, and also the recent one which was a huge disappointment.

All the best to them, though

I guess if you can't make money developing Shellshock 2 and Rogue Warrior, you have to get it from elsewhere.

No big loss. After the new AVSP (which I was really excited for pre-launch) I realized that the extent of Rebellions creative vision was already reached when they made AVSP2 back in 2001.

@Pure Black World Tendency They didn't make AvP2, though, Monolith did.

I think the biggest thing about social games that bugs me is people taking great old IPs that were known for trying out fresh ideas and turning them into same-y social games and essentially 'parking' the IP like that.

Evil Genius' IP could have so much more done with it.

Now take all that money earned from social game success and give me an Evil Genius sequel.
