Whether you realize it or not, you need more acrobatic, robot-suited DARPA agents in your life. Thanks to Amazon, you can now fill that void with new levels of cheapness -- you can now purchase Sega's sliding-centric shooter Vanquish for a cool, crisp, thirty-dollar bill.

whoa, my comment got downvoted a lot.
Dude, did you not notice that I said the game was awesome? I LOVE this game and I played through it several times. But to most people, $60 was a lot of money for a 4-5 hours game with not too much replayability. I am not saying that the game is bad or that it's not as good as other great games. I am just saying that $60 was a lot of money for an extremely short game.

WTH is wrong with all of you? He posts his opinion in a non-troll-like fashion, and has very valid points. The game is all single player and isn't very long. It really is garbage that games these short are so expensive. Or really, it's more like it's garbage that games this expensive are so short.

It really is the best TPS ever made. It's this generation's new Contra. I'm probably going to be replaying this game once a year for as long as my PS3 works.

Vanquish is one of the few games which I feel could have benefited from having co-op mode through the campaign.
Still, it's a good game in single player too. Buy it!

True that. But then they could have marketed it as a 50+ hours slow-mo campaign. :p

Yes, if you haven't played this game, buy it, play it! One of the most fun games I've ever played.
By the by, anyone been able to plat this game? I have one trophy left, and it's the tactical challenge trophy. I cannot beat 4-6....

It was actually a bit less expensive yesterday, but it's still a great deal at this price. I bought it yesterday, though. :P

Help me out here. The demo didn't show me that the game was really any different than any other TPS, but with a boost ability included. I didn't think it was bad, but it didn't entice me to buy it. What is it about this game that is so good, and what is different from, or better than the demo?

@Levi Graphics and music are top notch. I've been listening to the soundtrack for months. The voice acting and dialogue are funny in a Predator/Terminator/Commando kind of way. Totally cheesy, but hilarious and perfect for an action movie.
The real deal is the gameplay though. They just created a perfect playground to run around in. Honestly, you can actually get a great sense of it from the demo, so if you weren't into it, there's a chance you just might not like the game. However, there are two demos, and you should play them both. The best demo is Challenge Mode. If you play that until you beat it all the way through and still don't like it, you can probably skip the game.

@Levi
The first demo left me cold as well when I played it. The second demo sold the game to me. The second demo is the challenge demo and you really get a good feel of the gameplay and how much fun it is. I probably played that demo 20 times trying to advance more.
