Funny thing. I woke up this morning to install more of my steam games onto the new PC I just bought. For some reason Mafia II was on the list, but I can't remember ever buying it.

@Faceless Troll you can check out your "transaction history" to see where it came from, if you got it for free somehow it will show up as "complimentary"

@Faceless Troll Hmm, so apparently I did purchase it a few months ago. Back when it was on sale for $12.49. Weird.

@Faceless Troll Sounds like a typical day on Steam for me. "Where did this game come from?"
I did buy one of the big game packs during the Winter Sale so I do have somewhat of an excuse.

Midweek Madness sales aren't new. I don't recall when they were introduced, but they've been around for a least a year, I think.
In other sale news: There's currently a woot-off going on. :)

You are correct. I'm pretty sure "the mold was broken" some time ago. Still a good deal, though. I'm trying to decide whether or not to get it.

Not sure what to do..
$27 for PS3. My platform of choice, looks meh, but gameplay is fun.
$10 for PC. Suck at Third Person games on it, looks great.
pay $17 for it on a platform I prefer, and I am good at third person games on. or $17 less on a platform that may fustrate me cause I suck at driving and shooting form third person on it.. choices.
And its also a pain to have to get "unsigned drivers" to work on vista. >

If you game a fair amount (10+ hrs a week), I highly recommend getting a capable pc with windows 7 64 bit. I have saved a metric tonne of money by using steam as my main games store. My games are estimated at over 3200 dollars and I barely spent 500!
I still have my consoles for exclusives but I'm starting to grow such a backlog that I can buy them down the line cheap anyways.

I'm in the exact same situation. I love my consoles for the exclusives, but my Steam collection is just massive. And dirt cheap.

Gamepad?
Assuming Mafia II has proper gamepad support (which I'm not sure about myself).
