Wow all the work that must have went to translate the game all for naught.
Pretty hardcore move!

@DV8ing1
Luckily, it looks like they never even started that whole translation bit, so I guess we're all good. No harm done.

No surprise there. Kanji is murder...probably saw the bug...realized they had to redo the text for the entire game because of it...threw their hands up in the air with a giant "F#@% IT!"

I would...

A text bug? Seriously? What is this, 1998?

If it was a translation text bug, I wish Microsoft had released it anyway, then at least Japan would finally know what it feels like to get bad translations from across the ocean!

So the text is just as illegible and tiny in kanji as in English?

Having the avatar gear still accessible in Japan seems like a smack to the face with the game unavailable to them

It's about time you folks realize ,you don't have to do anything special for japan. if they get it fine ,if not no biggie. you guys to keep making choice like this & u will save a ton of money that will have been wasted on that unwelcoming market region.

Oh well, they'll have to wait until Diablo 3 comes out to get their dungeon on. So don't worry Japan , you'll have tons of fun when it finally gets released in 2015 or whatever the release date is now.

Having a projected release date for a game that never existed is kind of odd.

"Here, we haven't even started work on it, but here's it's projected release date."

Seems normal when you start a game, but just translating it?

Time to create a panel of experts to finally decide once and for all, how many L's in the word CANCELED/CANCELLED.

As the old saying in the business goes: You can't cancel something that never existed.

(Really, it's Torchlight....TORCHLIGHT! The simplest game ANYONE can play with, how complicated could it possibly be?)
