@Ohhlaawd As far as Japan is concerned, DC doesn't exist unless they're on vacation.

I think its weird that they go to San Fran AND LA. I men, I understand LA, but they could have put one in say Atlanta or Houston or Dallas for the bottom Eastern half of the country.

All that said, I refuse to go to NYC for anything. Too many damn people, and all they do is stand around and take pictures, its an hour long mission just to walk a couple blocks in that city. The tourist ruin it.

Here's a picture of the "pod" in the Chicago Ogilvie Station:

The security guard told me no pictures so I couldn't get the 3DS's being shown on the screen, but I'll be there tomorrow morning to try to get more!

Jeez, as if being a Mariners fan wasn't a kick in the junk already. I can wait until later this month for the release though.

Any word on whether Nintendo is planning to meet demand/have enough 3DS handhelds for the North American market would be nice to know too. I'm going to be one of those unlucky souls waiting in line for the black one at a local department store(I refuse to wait in line at Gamestop for another console... sheer madness, I tell you).

@foxhound - Try being a Kansas City Royals fan, and constantly having to see cross-country tours skip you, and go right to Chicago. I don't know what bizarro world map these people are looking at, but Chicago isn't in the Midwest. You can call it a Midwestern city all you want, but that is a load of crap. It's basically a north eastern city. Not to mention that to get from LA to Chicago, you pretty much have to go right by Kansas City (and St. Louis for that matter). Do any of these tours ever stop though? Noooooo.

It's actually Redmond. I worked there in the call center during the Wii launch.

And yes, I got calls from moms telling me that there is a Wiimote stuck in their TV screen.

This article neglected to mention that the demo pods (shown in the picture) are going to parachute to their destinations, after being dropped out of airplanes....made entirely of money.

Damn, where's the love Florida? You would think Nintendo would be going all out, trying to demo the 3DS to as many people as possible, and trying to convince parents that playing it won't make their kids eyes melt. Oh well, I still have this thing pre-ordered.

easy and pretty close, take 42nd street and head east. You'll be there in a 15 minute walk. Its a big wide building with a bridge coming out of it, you can't miss it.

So I just came from the NYC pod at grand central station on Sunday. First off it wasn't even busy which shocked me. Ok straight to the juicy stuff the 3ds. First thought was wow!!!! Reason being because you hear alot about the system but no media to back it up cause it can't be shown with cameras. The 3d effect is awesome cause now your games have depth. You can see how far the road was in front of you in "asphalt 3d" the airplane flying all over the place in "pilotwings resort" and the best there "street fighter" with background in the back and characters in front of you. The sweet spot of the 3d was sooooo hyped up but you can adjust it to your liking but don't make any quick movements cause your eyes will unfocuss for a few seconds and readjust. The d-pad and analog pad felt good in their place. I already pre ordered it but just wanted to test it out and happy I did because nintendo is getting my $249 cause they sold me on a product that is changing the portable gaming world.
