Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet footage wants to eat you

FuelCell Games' XBLA-bound shooter Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet has some surprising features, as demoed in the 10-minute trailer below. For instance, it's got some pretty interesting Metroidvania-esque exploration elements. Also? Everything on the planet wants to devour your ship wholesale.

It's like Limbo and Pixeljunk Shooter had a baby. I'm kind of excited for this.

Limbo was really awesome until it got so ridiculously overhyped and became the cliched "most awesome live arcade game evar!"

that's a really dumb statement. you let internet hype change how you feel about a game that you initially thought was awesome? that's the definition of tool right there...

i still think limbo is awesome...

So looking forward to this. The enemy variety looks pretty good so far as well. Although it is odd to hear it without that awesome score that they had going over the first trailer.

Well that was just a Dimmu Borgir song, but it did set a nice tone for annihilating shadowy stuff.

This looks great! Will definitely give this a shot.

Am I the only one who thinks "World of Goo" when I see this game? Anyway, holy crap that was awesome! The official site says the game is approaching completion. This and Fez in the same year... I think I'm going to explode from the awesomeness.
