Brink gets classy in latest gameplay clip

Rather than donning a tux and renting a limo, Brink's latest trailer actually just shows off the game's class-based multiplayer. For lessons in the subtle differences between a medic and a soldier, head past the break.

@thekinslayer Actually, TF2 looks like an update of Brink. If this video is anything to go by it looks like the game was built on one of the Unreal Engines, which means it looks great on a console but about 4 years behind what's considered medium quality on a PC.
I played a works version of this game about 7 months ago, on a PC, and the graphics looked much better then so either they've switched engines or they've toned everything down to the lowest common denominator so that all versions will look *about* the same.
There are no tranistional effects either. The engineer's gun is simply not there in one frame, then fully built in the next. It just seems sloppy, like they could do better, but have run out of time.

That looks freaking awesome, just not a very big fan of the operative's ability.
You'll get sniper w-hores filling up your team as the least constructive members of your team and you'll get raped since they'll just sit back and play like a bunch of panzies.

Yeah, I never really got into CoD either. LOVED KZ2 though. Loving KZ3 also, though I don't like a couple of the changes they made.

It's funny, they have millions of customization options, literally millions, but no female character models. It's like they decided having 50 million combinations of male characters was more valuable than 25 million of each.

I have to agree, probably should have included some female models. But, look at TF2, did it really matter? And yes, I know the Pyro 'might' have been female.

@darkhellmutt It's true, it works in TF2 and in plenty of shooters. My only gripe with Brink is that the whole story is about the population of this island turning against authority. It's not like a war people signed up for or got drafted into... all of these people were born and raised on this artificial island.
Also, I still hold out that the Pyro's a woman. Or a robot.

Adding females just doesn't mean more skins, there is far more involved. It needs different voice talent, more motion capture, more art, more resources all around. It isn't a simple "cut half the men's clothes and add an equal amount of women's stuff.

I hope this has a story that is considerably long at least 10 - 12 hours all these fps games but all just focus on multilayer as there main drive for the game.

@Yisrael from what i am gathering with interviews and stuff, the single player and the MP are exactly the same except for the fact that in SP your fighting against all bots and in the MP, its real people.

So basically the Multiplayer it's a mix between BFBC2, KZ3 and TF2, sounds good to me.

Haha, I saw that quote and thought, "wow someone besides me still plays Tf2 360 even w/o all the updates" then I looked at your name; Redgehammer. I've played w/you a few times on TF2.

I truly hope the online community for this is as good as my personal experience from TF2. You know, where people communicated in a semi-civilized manner, work together, and have fun. Also less use of the british word for cigarette.

Wolf: ET flash backs... Stealing pants and building MG nests by vaguely waving needle nose pliers at them. Of course, in ET, the engis set the bombs, the medics were rambos, and the soldiers were team killers.

I want a car made out of the metal that they use to make the medic's syringe needles. In both examples shown in the video the syringes are administered to patients through their body armour. I'm guessing they're using Adamantium.

Personally, I'm not a big TF2 fan, this seems to me (based on the trailers so far) to be some sort of TF2-Mirrors Edge- Borderlands mix. Can't wait :D
