I'm too broke to buy Pokemon Black or White, so I'm currently replaying Pokemon Emerald to fix my junky-like cravings of Pokemon.

Just finished Tales of Vesperia literally moments ago. Easily one of the best JRPGs this gen, and possibly the best on consoles this gen overall (Though Lost Odyssey and Valkyria Chronicles are both up there as well)

Now to play through some more Pokemon White, or finish my Gears of War playthrough. Not sure which.

I downloaded Lord of the Rings Online last night, and I'm surprised by how much I like it (more than World of Warcraft). I'll probably be spending most of the weekend playing that, with a dash of Pokemon White here and there.

I'm trying to finish up Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time right now. Apparently I pre-ordered Crysis 2 almost a year ago, which I completely forgot about. So I'll try to knock that out and sell it ASAP if it's not that good.

Also, started dabbling with replaying Twilight Princess and can't understand why everyone hates on the motion controls so much. After playing for about 5 minutes I don't even notice them. Why the vitriol?

I really liked them a lot. Waggle to swing really isn't that big of a deal and that's what most seem to gripe about. A bunch of the other stuff I found really enjoyable, bow & arrow, fishing, that one boss where you're on the spinny thing and jump from side to side, etc. Was ages ago when I played it but those really stuck out. I'd take the motion controls over the standard controls on that game any day.

I've been wanting to tend to my DS, so I've been playing a lot of N+, which should be known now as an excellent game.

Also, Dead Rising 2 is in the house, I'm eager to whip that up for a bit.

And I really need to finish Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. In fact, while we're on that game, I wanted to express my opinion on it quickly. Okay so, anybody who knows me is aware that I am a gigantanormous Assassin's Creed fan. The first two were incredible. The same goes for Brotherhood, however, I don't think, in terms of single player, that the game nearly matches the quality of its predecessors.

I bought the first two on 360, and I bought Brotherhood on the PS3. While there are some things in AC that work really well on the PS3, I'll be getting the next AC on 360. Sorry, but this one was just a bit of a lousy port. The graphics as a whole aren't as pleasant as I remember them being in the last AC (and its interesting to note that AC1 has had the best graphics so far in the series), there are a number of bugs-- for instance, I encountered an issue where I was disguised as the Borgia, and my current objective is to pick up a chest. Simple enough, I complete the task. And yet it still says that I need to pick up the chest in order to advance. But, I clearly have done this, the chest is clearly in my hand. No way to fix but turn off system and start up later. Now my friend claims to have had the same issue on his 360 version, so that may not be a port issue.

And then there are problems with mission design, which is something I never had an issue with in the past games, there are definite story issues within Ezio's plot-- I'm not as compelled by his story as I was last time. The modern day segments are fantastic as always, and I love the more "things" they've included in the real world, and the email is better than ever. And then there's the novelty of Renaissance Italy as era-- we were all dazzled by the time period in AC2, and this one was missing the "New Era! New Assassin!" feeling upon announcement of the game. And then the storytelling itself is just simply not as good.

But remember-- I absolutely love AC: B, and all of the complaints I have don't cover every experience. I mean, there were some seriously sweet level design I've seen in here. And we all know by now the mulitplayer is just phenomenal. And speaking of the MP...any of you still. Because it seems empty in the servers. I encountered one player one day, and I saw him again the next day. What's going on?

By the way: I wrote a novel.

Have you ever calibrated your tv?

Keep in mind the 360 is using DVD and PS3 is using blu-ray. also PS3 has a couple settings like superwhite and something else I can't remember at the moment. but it helps to calibrate the really bright shades of white so that they don't just look blown out.

I have a blu-ray calibration disc and a dvd calibration disc they require very different setting from each other. It makes all the difference in the world. I can't play games at friends' houses now. because they have the brightness and sharpness all the way up and then they have all sorts of dynamic contrast and sharpness options turned on. black is not black, it like a 80% grey. it's hideous

If you haven't calibrated your tv for your room then you are not seeing the best picture on either system.

Nothing wrong or even that different about assassins creed brotherhood on ps3. Check the comparison Vids online.

As far as the game itself; I loved it. Just beat it s few nights ago. I think the reason that it didn't feel like a new experience is because it wasn't. This was more of an expansion of AC2 than it's own game. It was made using all of the AC2 assets as well. Asfar as the modern day segments: they are terrible IMO. I'd be happy if they never happened. As far as the story in ACB it's basically of minimal importance to the series as a whole. However, they did reveal a clue about the setting of the next title and it's super exciting. I believe it will be some sort of early American revolution days. They talk about a Masonic symbol but before the guy reveals the time period the game abruptly sort of ends.

MLB 11: The Show for PS3. Also, Dai Senryaku VII: Modern Military Tactics Exceed with my friends once each week (it is a FANTASTIC 4-player party game if you're into strategy at all).

I also really, really hope that the just-announced (in Japan) PS3/XBox 360 Daisenryaku Perfect HD will have a localization announcement at E3. With 22 countries, 600 real-life weapons, 8-player local and chat-based internet gameplay, an editor more extensive than anything I've ever seen on consoles (you can edit and make new maps, campaigns, weapons, countries, and more), plus fantasy-themed maps and units such as space and medieval, it will even easily eclipse R.U.S.E. as the best current-gen console strategy game out there.

Here's the link to the game's website (Google Translate is required to view English characters, but the translation will still be uneven due to language word equivalence differences):

http://www.ss-alpha.co.jp/products/dsp_hd/

And here is the link to the petition thread to localize Daisenryaku Perfect HD on Sony's forums:

Thanks for any support you guys can offer!

@MarkezJM I don't think that's the final ultor mission, if memory serves, the final mission is when you fight through the Ultor buildings front lawn and then crash a helicopter through Jay Mohr's office. Unless you already did that? And yeah, SR2 is pretty stingy with it's points

Beat Dragon Age 2 around tuesday after what ended up being a 6 day 70 hour adventure, and I'm contemplating either going through it once more, or going the opposite direction and replaying the original. I hope I can resist those impulses and instead spend the end of my spring break with Beyond Good and Evil. My friends are also trying to wrangle me back into WoW hardcore like, but I MUST fight that urge. Finally, maybe some Homefront if I start feeling masochistic
