Looks okay, I guess, for a Wii game anyway. I didn't really enjoy the first one though, so I'll pass.

@My Prerogative As I was watching the trailer I was like, "wait, is this an indie title or something?" then I saw that it's for Wii. I'm not always all about the graphics, but the Wii isn't aging well, Nintendo needs to come up with a new console pronto.

Can we stop trying to make realistic Wii games?

@DanielTobey

Because aliens, a giant leviathan, and plasma shooting guns are realistic...

But seriously, why do so many douchey people gripe about Wii graphics as if a.) they are the single-most important aspect of a game, and b.) they were seemingly very capable of putting up with 5 years of this level of graphics last generation.

So we're just supposed to expect a new generation of consoles to do the same thing as their predecessors?

So does this make the games on the older consoles inferior just because the graphics are worse? Games should not be judged on graphics alone, EVER. Graphics are only a plus, and ONLY if they immerse you into the game more.

going between Wii to xbox to PS3 the differance in graphics is not enough for me to give a damn. You know there's thing thing called gameplay, if you want to play a movie like FFXIII then yeh sure I can understand but in most other cases graphics don't make THAT much of an impact

But I commend them for supporting the Wii! I wish more developers were still making good games for it.

I hate to say this, but the ship in the preview picture, looks like a Pelican Dropship from halo in very low res and a super sized cannon on it., and then there is the red "needle" gun, that looks strangely like a Needle Rifle from Reach, I hope Microsoft doesn't find out about this little likeness right. Oh wait, actually, I do, and not because im a fan of halo, because I dont wanna see another Halo game unless its a actual HALO game, seeing too much of the same shit gets old, people need to be a bit more creative.

You mean the dropship that was directly taken from the movie Aliens...along with Sergeant Johnson being pretty much the same as Sergant Apone from Aliens...and the marines having similar combat armour. Yes it would be nice to have some creativity, especially in the games are that supposedly revolutionary...like Halo. Cant Judge Conduit 2 cos i aint played it but Halo lost is lustre after Halo 3 and thats when i stopped bothering with it. Not every game with aliens in is a Halo rip-off. If anything, games are influenced by movies and books more so than other games.

Yeah for the Dreamcast and PS2 as well. You should look into them, they're are great games out there that will keep you enthralled as long as you dont want extreme visual masturbation......oh wait..you're a troll...therefore have no concept of great games, but clutch with both hands on anything that makes your eyes cum.

I feel like I really want to support High Voltage on this. They have a lot of guts developing this for Wii, especially being that all of their developer brethren who design FPSs are over at the 360, PS3, and PC joint.

A lot of guts developing for Wii? Developers (all of them) would be fools to not develop for the fastest selling console in the history of the industry. The real risk is developing on PS360, where, if your title flops (i.e. 80% of all PS360 titles) then your company is most likely up shits creeks due to the development costs on said game.

Well the first Conduit took me back to video games in 2001.

Loved Conduit controls but it never was very interesting. It's hard to get excited about a sequel to an OK game especially after GoldenEye.

I really want to like this game, they keep telling us that they've listened when everyone said how shit the first was (and it kinda was).

But they've supposedly hired a script writer so it might make sense, included motion plus support which should have been in the first one, actually left DC so we're not walking down the same empty government corridor.

I'm hopeful but I'm not buying it until I read a decent review...

As for those still complaining about graphics... Let me quote some of the most successfull and comented games of this generation: Minecraft and Angry Birds

You fail to realize that the style of game dictates what kind of graphics would work the best for it. An experimental game about block building doesn't need high-fidelity graphics, nor does a simple physics puzzler. A high-budget FPS with an attempt of an epic storyline about an alien invasion? You bet your ass that kind of thing has to have better graphics than Minecraft.

Not every game works with minimalistic graphics, you know. Citing Minecraft does nothing for Conduit 2.

I am sick of people bringing up Minecraft in these graphics discussions as if it's some sort of proof that games can be good with bad graphics. Minecraft doesn't have bad graphics, it has good graphics. The reason for this is because "good graphics" is not synonymous with "cutting edge technology," "as many polygons as the machine can handle," "latest version of Direct X," etc. The technology used is only as important as the art direction. Minecraft's graphics not only fit the game extremely well, but the graphics also make up a fair portion of the game's charm.

What I'm getting at is that Minecraft's graphics fit, Halo's graphics fit, Call of Duty's realism-style graphics fit... If Call of Duty or Halo looked like Minecraft, do you think people would take it seriously? Minecraft TRIES to be quirky and cute, which is why the graphics are fitting for the game. Call of Duty tries to be realistic. The immersion and believability would simply not be there if Call of Duty was made in Minecraft's graphics engine.

Also, you left out the best selling console game of all time (whether you like the game or not is irrelevant), Black Ops. A game that would not work with Minecraft or Angry Bird's graphics.

Seriously, its 2011. In a few years, we're going to be getting the next-next gen systems. The Wii, however, manages to look WORSE than the original XBOX, which shipped 10 years ago.

I admire these guys for doing magic with practically nothing to work with. But there is only so much you can do with 10+ year old hardware.

And somehow the antique hardware somehow causes this for you?

The only thing the wii does impressively is camera/ ir tracking (which it does really well). Every other part of the wii (including the waggle-tech) has been done by someone else, usually better.

I have and use a Wii, so don't mix me up with a Sony or MS fanboy. It just irritates me that they charge so much for so little technology. There is no reason for Wii games to look like ass anymore.

No it didn't. The cube was easier to program for, but it wasn't as powerful as the xbox (biggest problem was that the cube had fixed function shaders while the xbox had fully programmable shaders).

Actually, yes, the Gamecube did have better graphics than the first Xbox. The Gamecube had more specs than the Xbox, which meant it could produce better visuals. Unfortunately, no developers took advantage of this because it had an inferior hard drive to the Xbox's.

N64 Goldeneye looks more varying. Perfect Dark for N64 sounds better. Gameplay wise.... who knows? Maybe they'll make the AI smarter and the guns more deadly. But I doubt cause of thinking like "It's never gonna sell for the major audience if it's not 100% like all the rest of the sci-fi shooters." The players of Conduit 2 will be bored.
