It´s sad to see how much in a hurry Nintendo is to kill the NDS, if they had enough time and a big hammer i´m sure miyamoto would smash every single NDS that exist in the planet just to make us buy a 3ds, even though WE ALL KNOW that in one year there are going to be better and cheaper versions of it. But is sad to see that from now on all the great titles are going to appear only for the 3DS and we are going to have nothing but garbage games for the NDS......

I am in no hurry to get a 3DS, got a DSi recently and will wait for more games to come out for 3DS and even a revision of it at E3 next year. Though some of the games look great on the 3DS but I really don't want to go through the trouble of finding one in stores.

I agree with you, the problem is that right now there are NOT going to be anymore good games for the NDS maybe okamiden is going to be the last good title, right now nintendo wants to sell as many 3DS as humanly possible, and it´s logical to do that but i found very irritating that they are going to simply forget about the NDS just to force us to buy another system, mark my words there are going to be zero top titles for the NDS from now on, just look at games like the professor Layton series, that one now is "exclusive" for the 3DS even though it doesn´t need ANY 3D as it´s only a puzzle collection game, it´s sad but that´s what nintendo wants........

Well, I'm grabbing a 3DS.

Then I will just let it collect dust for a while, I guess.

Or you could.. ya know... wait? You'll be kicking yourself when by the time there's a game you want to buy, it's bundled with a limited edition 3DS.

I'm still waiting to see if they make a special Legend of Zelda 3DS with the Ocarina of Time remake packed in to celebrate the anniversary.

I would bite.

Exactly.

There are plenty of great looking games coming out to warrant buying one, but they are just not going to be out this week. But I'd much rather buy one now than either a) wait a year for a bundle b) wait two years for a revision or c) have to scramble to buy one once said good games come out in the likely case these things sell like hotcakes.

Personally I'm holding out to see how Continuum Shift II and LoZ: OoT turn out. Either may be the first game I get for the system.

Plus, the shop will be up in like a month and a half and I never had a DSi, so I'll be indulging myself in missed gems like Shantae.

Let's not forget that there are plenty of things you can do with the system barring having an actual game, and taking the system on the go in sleeping street pass mode is beneficial for some of those things.

I didn't like the demo. I wish they would have put out the first level from the main game or something. Minigames don't mean anything to me.

Metacritic has a few up but not enough to get an overall impression. So far it's looking promising but I imagine there is an embargo (usually not favorable if companies have to use that) on reviews still.

Playstation Move Heroes is a maybe but I need to try the demo first. Crysis 2 was a definite until I played the terrible demo on ps3 ... They really dropped the ball on at least the PS3 version. Getting the 3DS (woo-hoo!) but after playing the in store demo unit of pilot wings I'm wondering if I'm just looking at the screen wrong or what. It probably just takes some getting used to but dang after like 20 minutes I had a huge headache. Not sure what game I want to buy yet. Maybe Samurai Warriors if the reviews are good. Can't wait!!!!!

I tried a demo unit also and while I can tolerate theater 3D (and TV's), the 3DS was really throwing my eyes for a loop at times trying to focus. Though hearing that you have to keep it within 12 inches of your face for more optimal viewing, it doesn't bode well for first-gen hardware.

I want to play the partial remake of OoT so badly but I'm almost tempted to hold out and see what people think after a month or 2 before deciding. Or just wait until the 'lite' version hits with a screen that has better angles and distance before causing issues.

I never got a headache or anything, but you have to get used to it for sure. The first time I looked at the screen I felt like my mind was going to explode. It was like my brain couldn't compute what my eyes were seeing, but a couple of minutes later I was really into it. Definitely play around with the 3D slider. I hit that "sweet spot" every reviewer keeps mentioning and now I know what they are referring to. It is pretty awesome and I want one, but I'm waiting to see what they do for the LoZ anniversary, as I mentioned up above previously.

I had focusing issues as well. At times it was perfect but sometimes (this is hard to explain) it was like if I focused on the foreground my eyes would cross and when I looked at it like those old 3D posters (the ones from the 90's with dinosaurs and what not) the 3D image would like separate and I'd have to look off screen and re-calibrate my eyes. I think its just one of those things that takes some getting used to and training your eyes.

I downloaded the Crysis 2 demo on Steam, and it needed me to type in a server I'd like to join. There wasn't a list of servers I could browse through. Were some of the server problems also present in the PC demo?

Yeah, until they fix the login error and I can at least play the PC demo, I'm not going anywhere near crysis 2. The reviews had better be stellar or this'll be the biggest let-down of the year so far.

Seems to me that is it is worth 32$. But $60? Well the reviews have to come in.

I have a feeling after a year or so, the focus on the games will be shifted away from the 3D capabilities since it seems to bother so many people, and you'll get similar games as you have now on the DS.
