Dragon Age 2 for $40 on Amazon today, more games in lightning deals

Spring's in full swing, and you know what that means: Time for young love to start blossoming. Why not mix it up this year -- in a manner that's in no way sad -- and fall in love with video games? Today, Amazon's offering up a season's worth of affairs with Gold Box deals all day on potential digital love interests.

Why, right now you could have a fling with Dragon Age 2 for just $40, and there are some equally attractive offerings to come, judging by Thrifty Nerd's list of guesses. Are they all beauties? Nope. But it's spring! Let yourself live a little.

Debating on biting for Dragon Age 2...

I like how Isabela is shown holding a bow in that screen shot, yet she can't use one in the actual game ...

Sure she can; I have her as a ranged person in my current DA2 game. Then again, I replaced my Mabari with a dragonling...

Kind of makes me wish I held out; the game wasn't worth $60 to me. $40 would have been the sweet spot. Good deal, though.

I'll have to snag Dead Space 2 later on.

I think their talking about the EarForce X41 (the ones with surround sound) The clue is "Discover new sound cues" I don't think you can do that with Stereo ;)

I wish we knew what platform these games were gonna be for. Kinda lame to get all excited for a deal, only to find out its for a different system only.

So excited for this deal.....got to use my promo credit for reserving B&W, so I ended up getting this game for under $20!!! So pumped...

Anyone on the fence about picking up DA2 at that price just confuses the hell out of me. The game is more than worth retail.

LOL - good one. I am only haveway through and have no big desire to get back to it. If I have look at that freaken red cave one more time....

and hope it will be the cheaper option

Must resist, I really want this game, but I have a massive backlog including DA Awakenings and the other expansions. $20 is now my ceiling price on new releases!

Yea same here. I am actually playing through DA: O ultimate edition and still haven't finished the core game let alone the expansions. I really want to pick this up but I think I may hold off for awhile because I also have other games to go through. By the time I am ready, there will probably be a DA2 ultimate edition available!

This. I learned my lesson with the first Dragon Age. I'll save a lot of money on DLC by just waiting for the Ultimate Edition, but it is tough to resist this deal.

Please let Bulletstorm be $25 or less.

Let down again by Amazon's lightning deals. You know that when you sell only 25% of what you have available in 3 hours, you are overcharging (NFS).

Dragon Age 2 has a great price right now, but I still have not played the 1st one, so I will pass on that.

WWE All-Stars honestly you'll probably be playing long after you're done with DA2.

$60 was too pricey for me. This is definitely a good deal. This should have been the price at launch!

It's a shame none of these deals interest me. Why oh why does it have to be a day of stuff I'm not inclined to get?

@ChaosBladez Very short. I purchased it day one and sold it a few days later on Craigslist...

Though I prefer playing with a controller (ironically I can use my 360 controller on my PC if I choose) there are some games that are better suited for the PC. I will wait until the ULTIMATE edition comes out in a year, or so, and buy it then for the PC, or DL it through Steam who I am sure will have it as part as their Thanksgiving and/or Xmas specials. I still have like 20 games I bought last year I still have to even play...damn you Steam!!!

@The Minn I'm on the same boat, last year i got DA UE for PC for just 25 bucks, best deal ever!!, i'm still have to play tons of games so i'll be buying the UE next year.

Its just as good as the games in the past. Very witty, clever and interesting and great for a range of ages. I played it this past weekend with my older brother and 55-year old mom and we all had a blast. Once I explained that she didn't need to use most of the buttons, that is. :)
