Hudson 3DS titles listed as canceled in latest Famitsu

This week's Famitsu notes that several Hudson 3DS titles have been canned, according to Andriasang. The current list includes some of the planned 3DS titles like Bomberman, Bonk and Omega Five, which were all announced last October.

Hudson has gone through a serious shift since the Konami takeover earlier this year. Konami is set to take full control of the company and replace Hudson's CEO with its own next week.

Update: A Konami spokesperson tells Wired the publisher hasn't "distributed any official list of Hudson products yet."

I was really looking forward to the Bonk game (Brink of Extinction) they had been hyping up for like the past two years on WiiWare and XBLA... hope that doesn't get cancelled, too.

That said, Air Zonk is more fun. :D

Well that's a shame. Except Bomberman, I wasn't looking forward to that platforming or whatever I saw in that 3DS software lineup.

No 3DS BOMBERMAN, Hudson/Konami? :\ It could've been a great(bargin bin)title, especially if they add in some Konami stars as secret characters. As for the other two games, they won't be missed by me personally.

There goes Bonk...looks like his last call will forever be the PC Engine now.

Okay, I could see cancelling Bonk and Omega Five, but Bomberman? Really? It's only the most successful property Hudson has ever had, and almost always sells well (Act Zero notwithstanding), surely nobody would buy it on a system that allows for the gameplay to stay classic while adding additional challenge in the 3D-ness? (Seriously, the concept of true-3D plus classic Bomberman has me kind of excited...)

This just goes to prove that the Konami execs clearly have no freaking clue how to manage a series that's not being helmed by Kojima.

So true.
In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if Kojima made his side company for that fact alone; simply to keep the IPs from being sullied by Konami mismanagement or lack of 'gusto' to get product out sooner(the "Squ'enix disease"). They would be larger than EA and Activision if they had made some of their "Bemani" titles more user friendly and less 'shovelware'. What's the point of having a game like GUITAR FREAKS before GUITAR HERO and not releasing here with a region-relevant song list? Or even a control-friendly BEATMANIA? I understand licensing music and advertising is expensive, but considering the near-decade long hype around DDR, you'd think they would've *tried*.

It was quite possibly one of the biggest wasted opportunities in the history of gaming.

Dammit Konami I want me some bomberman.

XD lol... well there's tons of third party's, I recently saw that THQ is busting out a Sponge Bob Squarepants game for the 3DS, you should check that out. nothing more awesome than a sponge under the sea ehh

@UrielItachi Thanks for the tip I was afraid I wouldn't have any bad games to blindly throw my money at!

Now that it's been mentioned, I wonder why I bought Omega 5 in the XBLA... Wait, I think I got it: the best part of the game was the two minutes showcased in the trial. Yeah, that was it... I think I'm gonna dust off my PS2 and play some Gradius V... Or kill myself repeatedly at Ikaruga. Again.
