@ansalon929
An integration between console players (Dust 514) and PC players (EVE Online). The EVE players will be able to contract console players I suppose to fight planetary battles. That's what I understand is going to happen. Dust 514 will be a shooter.

Depending on how the two games go together, I might start playing EVE again.

Awesome! So it's probably going to have a cover system, sliding, badass rocket launchers , vehicles aaaand that your contractor can kill you anytime...interesting. I hope they have other penalties for doing that besides dying.

I love the idea of EVE but hate the gameplay. If Dust 514 integrates well enough into EVE's "no holds barred" universe, I'll definitely pick it up.

@Jenks I love Eve but I too agree that somehow They will integrate choice and consequence into the shooter gameplay instead of just a shooter. CCP usually tries to innovate so I'm hoping they go a different route.

The scene where other ships start warping in was pretty badass.

I find it so odd that Dust 514 isn't on PC.

I mean I guess I get it, but it's still weird.

@Cleric

I used to think the same thing, and it burned me deep in my loins, but then I think of what they're aiming for. They want to get them console players into EVE, see their pod overlords raining hell on the planet and think man I think I want to pick up EVE Online also. So there you have a new audience for both games. Then you have the people already playing EVE online. Lets say that a large part of these either have a TV in the room or a second monitor. A terribly large part of end game eve-online involves a whole lot of sitting around waiting for exciting conflict to pick up. Here, these EVE players can now play an EVE experience on the console without exiting out of the EVE game to play another EVE game, so that they are "playing" EVE while waiting to play more on EVE. This shit is gonna go deep.

@Comrade Domovoi

Sup dawg, I heard you like Eve Online, so I put Dust 514 in your Eve Online so you can play Dust 514 while you play Eve Online

@NightSoD

Most Eve players I know have two monitors. I could definitley see my friend shooting dudes in one monitor while mining resources in the other

Interesting idea, but interesting ideas aren't enough. There are a pile of flops that had interesting ideas. Its all about execution.

I hope they have some seasoned developers working on this, because console gamers certainly don't have a lot of money floating around for any FPS which are short of amazing

I'm a seasoned EVE as well as console gamer and I must say I'm rather worried about how long legs this project will actually have, because we all know what's the attention span for new FPSes from console gamers is like.

On the flipside though, cannot wait for the World of Darkness.
