Seeing the ups and downs so bolded, it could make for a Nes video game cheat.

All that needs to be included is A,B,A Select, and Start and we'd be set.

I feel pretty good about my spending, seeing as how I loved the moment when I finally got to see how the 3D worked and how hard it was to try and stop smiling. Nintendo, you are awesome!

@SovereignSky I had that same smile stuck on my face all afternoon. I felt like a kid again. The 3DS is great. It even got my parents to play. They love the Mii creator and the AR cards. Go Nintendo!

AR is the one feature i'm really happy then both the 3DS and NGP have support for. It is damn cool, and I really want to see what developers do with it.

I hate having to click past the break to see the actual numbers. It'd be better to skip the (borderline unfunny) commentary and display the full post.

I don't have to regret it. At least not right now. The launch lineup for 3DS is internationally horrible.

I can definite;y give that system a pass while I catch up on DS and PSP games I haven't finished or purchased yet.

Black is the right choice. Just green, or just blue would be one thing, but two tone?

Two tone is always a mistake. Always.

Two-tone? I believe you mean tri-tone, but even that's not accurate enough. It's tetra-colored really.

Yeah, you have the darker shiny aqua for the back of the top screen, then the medium aqua for the middle, and the light blue for the bottom. It's weird.

@Red Runner - I'd never seen one in person. Are there really that mean colors? It goes without saying that if two tone is a mistake, tri or more is a huge failure.

Also, boobs can be the one exception to the rule if there is a swimsuit tan.

Plus the black area around the top screen. So if you get the black model it's roughly 3 colors, and if you get the others it's about 4 colors total.

It's gone beyond my expectations so far and they were already pretty high. To me the 3D effect is the best I have seen. I've been spending most of my day with Ridge Racer and SSFIV and I am still getting a kick out of seeing these games like this. I played some Xbox today, and suddenly, I feel like my other games are missing something not being able to view them in 3D.

I agree. I think everyone saying that the 3D is just a gimmick is wrong. It's adds such an amazing dynamic that makes any image look better regardless of the graphics. I found myself watching tv before bed last night and thinking to myself how it would look so much better if it were in 3D. HD is so popular because of how it adds detail and realism, well I think 3D can be added to the mix to provide an even more realistic experience across all video media.

I think I would have serious buyer's remorse if I'd bought the 3DS today. The launch line-up is so bad its not even funny; there's absolutely nothing I'm interested in other than an apparently busted port of Rayman 2.

It's actually a good line-up. Of course there's nothing that's a must-have or killer app, but there's still plenty of good games. I bought SSFIV, Ridge Racer, and Steel Diver. All of them are great. I'm considering Ghost Recon since the reviews have been really good for it.

As for Rayman 2, all I've heard is that it's a faithful port with upgraded 3D visuals. Not one review said it was "busted."

Maybe its a good lineup for you, but its not good for me. When Paper Mario, Kid Icarus, Cave Story 3d, and Mega Man Legends 3 are all out I can justify getting one.

I've read that Rayman 3d has messed up audio, dodgy framerates, and some weird control mapping: http://gonintendo.com/viewstory.php?id=154115

No must-have games? Yeah, sounds like a great launch lineup. Just like the first DS, where the "best" game was a Super Mario 64 port, accompanied by other "good" games, like Sprung and Feel the Magic XY/XX, and Ridge Racer.

@sigma8 - It's not a great launch line-up (I actually haven't bought any games for mine yet!) but the DS is my favourite system of all time so I'm not too worried. I'm going to be powerless in front of this thing when a massive RPG comes along or, god willing, something along the lines of Pikmin 3 or an Advance Wars/Fire Emblem.

It's not jus the Go's price, but also the fact that--barring a rare Sony sale--you are forced to pay for games at full retail prices, since you can only get them through PSN. Just like the Xperia Play, I'm guessing. Another hit-in-the-making. At least that will let you play Android games (I think).

My only regret about my 3DS purchase is it was through Amazon, so I gotta wait for it to come in the mail. At least I save money on shipping and taxes... and hopefully, since I know an Amazon distribution center is in this state, I won't have to wait long for it to arrive...

What's wrong with a bit of enthusiasm? The economy's middling, Japan's been through hell, and there's lots of other things that are making the world crappy. If you can find something to be happy about, what's wrong with that?
