Well, that makes sense.

I mean, the iPad really hasn't sold all that well, so I can understand why they'd be more interested in developing for a tablet that isn't even released yet.

@Ezio Auditore da Firenze dude, INDEED. They were right back in April of 2010. The iPad was a huge flop. NO ONE bought it. And they had the gall to release an iPad 2? When the 1st one did so crappy?

They SHOULD be marketing for a tablet that... NO ONE has! It's SMART marketing!! I'm proud of them, commiting career suicide in the spirit of martyrdom!! ;)

NOW - TO BE serious...

I agree that stuff like this should come out on all devices, and I hope that Android gets one as well, but come now - iOS has a huge, huge, huge market of people who go crazy for games like this. I'm one, even though I suck at it.

Look at World of Goo, Sword and Sworcery, Puzzle Agent or whatever, these games rock it both sales wise and with critical accliam.

just played both samorost 1 and 2 last weekend and plan on playing through machinarium soon (got them all in the humble bundle awhile ago), they are quirky fun point and click adventures and i'm glad they exist

Sweet! I played this on the PC, nice to see it branching to other platforms. I heard a rumor almost a year ago that it was coming to the PS3 but since I never heard anything else since I assumed it wasn't happening.

Most likely reason for the Playbook release. From GDC
"was ported in a matter of days to the PlayBook"

If you don't own Machinarium yet, then you didn't partake in donating for the Humble Indie Bundle - and that mean's you're a bad, selfish person.

The PlayBook launch is pretty much a sure thing. The port was easy because the PlayBook plugs right into Adobe AIR and Flash, which the game was originally built on.

Machinarium is superb. Genuinely complex puzzles. A mute protagonist you actually sympathise with, and some fantastic art work.

Could be longer, but that's probably because I was just at a loose end once I'd finished. Would certainly pick it up for the ipad.

The reason it is coming to the Playbook is because the entire game is built on Flash, something the Playbook runs really well and the iPad simply does not, unles they re-wrote the entire game for it.

I'm excited to grab this on the Playbook which I already pre-ordered. It will likely be the device to run flash apps the best.

Damnit Microsoft, stop doing whatever it is that you do that prevents these games from showing up on your console.
