"Hey, it beats buying and riding an actual motorcycle, you know. Those things are like, *super* dangerous."

Stay cool, Joystiq

i dont see the need for patenting this, it only seems natural if you were to make a motorcycle game. I guess money is money.

This game has already been developed. It's called Wii Sports Resort. Look at the Power Cruising games or whatever the Jet Ski games in it are called.

How on earth is this patentable? There is nothing novel about a control scheme.

Definitely a jet ski. It's got more of a jet ski shape and the guy's wearing a life jacket.

Love that circle for the disc in the Wii.

"Disc goes in here."

Can someone tell me why patent drawings always look so crude? Is there a rule they need to look like they were drawn on a Magna Doodle?

It's what the artist for the old Mega Man NES box art does for a living now.

Because patent employees can't see in colour. Nor can they find you if you stand still. Like a Tyrannosaurus.

It's also nice that they tell us what those circles on the tv are for.

Does this finally mean I get to hear an E3 announcement which begins with a jetski revving, followed by a Wave Race trailer? I really hope so.

F Zero and Wave Race are two almighty amazing racing games that I have missed from this generation so far. They were what I spent many hours perfecting on N64.
