It saddens me that most kids will say "Jurassic Park? you mean the game?" Without realizing that there was a movie.

This takes place during the events of the movie and afterward.
There was actually a comic book series called "Return to Jurassic Park" which also took place during the movie, as a side-story, and involved a mad scientist experimenting with and creating new dinosaurs.
When they first started saying "new dinosaur", I thought they were referring to the chameleon-like dinosaur from The Lost World novel, which never made it into the movie, and people have asked for for years.
From the previous preview footage, I hope the whole game isn't a quicktime event.

Why is the bald guy wiggling his butt in his seat back in forth. It's like he's either really excited to talk about the game, or he has a scratch he can't itch...

What I'd like to see....
Operation Genesis II.
That game would have been a lot of fun, if it weren't so damn glitchy.

So what kind of game is this exactly? Is it another point and click thing, if it is I'll pass.

This will be a great game based on a great movie based on a great book. That's fairly uncommon.

Why does Telltale insist on being so consistently awesome?

God I hope it's not the chameleon like dinosaur from the book. IIRC, in the book, the creature was pretty much invisible, blending in with chain link fences and other bs.
Um, no thanks. However, this is something from the fossil record, and the creatures in the Lost World were not. My guess is a mini- raptor like venomous dinosaur.

@Aphate It's almost certainly one of the dinosaurs that was in the book but didn't make it into the first movie (though was in the sequels, I hear), the compy.

Am I the only one that thinks the games graphics are a little to crappy for this day in age?

Nope, we're on the same team. Except for the dinos (thankfully), everything else looks kinda crappy (humans, scenery, etc.). Also, why does everything have to be so dark? I know it's nighttime, but c'mon.
I love me some Jurassic Park, and I love me some Telltale (and point-and-click adventures in general), but they really have to update their game engine if they wanna keep up with other developers.
The Telltale Tool engine is from 2005, and aside from some minor tweaks, it remains pretty much the same. It doesn't show that much in cartoony-looking games, but with this one, it's pretty clear how dated the engine is. And the excuse that it's made that way to run in most PCs doesn't work, either, since TT's latest games are pretty demanding, even though the graphics aren't that great
Oh well. As long as this new Jurassic Park game turns out to be as good the old Sega CD one, I'll be happy.
P.S.: Nightivison dino, LOL.

Love Jurassic Park, and love telltale games. Jurassic Park seems to be cropping up a lot these days, even though it's been almost 20 years. We did a podcast on it just last week. If you are a jurassic park fan you should check it out. There are some other movie series on there as well, like Aliens.

I agree, I mean, am I the only one who still has no idea what this game is or how you play it? I understand it's and "adventure" game but they just showed cut scenes. I'm not too sure I want one of my favorite movie franchise to go this route. I still remember playing Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis. When an I gonna get another one of those!

The Telltale guys are awesome. Consistently improving and surprising.
Their latest accomplishment? Using the words 'Special Forum Access' in a pre-order bonus and rather than reducing me to fits of giggles, actually making me send money their way sooner.
