@Dizazter I second that motion, although playing the Socom beta means I will put MAG and BFBC2 out to pasture.

....sadness.

Actually I haven't played MAG in a while, but it is definitely one of those I pick back up time and time again.

That's a hell of a lot of DLC. Especially considering that the game just came out.

All the Tiger DLC makes me sick! I know there are duplicates, but I dumped the list in Excel and autosummed it and it was over $241... Assuming stuff is rolled into packs, lets say that is 4x actual... still the price of a whole 'nother game.

I think I finally understand why you guys hate DLC now.

At least Chime's out now. Loved the PC version, so I'll definitely toy out the trial.

All that DLC from EA (of course) for Tigers PGA Tour whatever is absolutely disgusting. It's EXACTLY what they have been doing in Madden and I'm sure there are idiots out there that keep buying all that stuff up for them to keep doing that to everyone. Seems like all that stuff should have already been included in the game...

I swear I hate EA and what they do to us as customers. Not to mention the extra $10 "online pass" you'll need to play online if you buy it used. Which sucks even more if you're on a 360 with a gold account because paying for gold is SUPPOSED to allow you to play online in the first place. If more and more developers are going to start that $10 for online play if you purchase used then they need to allow online play to be free w/o charge.

@xxZOMBIExx My first reaction to seeing the DLC list was disgust. My second take on it was the same. Rather than join in on the EA hate I thought outside the box. No one has to buy all the DLC for the game to be complete. On the contrary, DLC is suppose to augment the packaged game. For games and franchises that I love it's easy to feel obligated to buy it regardless of cost or quantity of content. EA is simply giving users choice to buy what they want. Don't get me wrong, there is exorbitant amount of DLC but you don't have to buy it. Let EA figure out the hard way that releasing too much DLC is confusing and in many ways insulting to consumers.

True. But when you release a $60 game and on the same day offer courses with a total of $50 for all of them, with most of them being the same courses you also had to purchase the previous game it gets extremely frustrating.

This is why I'm done with the Tiger Woods game. Not because I didn't enjoy it, but because I am not paying for the same content each release. If you can buy a course ONCE, great, but every release they charge you? No. Screw EA.

Do you work for EA? If not, please have your head checked.

"No one has to buy all the DLC for the game to be complete."

Yes, it is still fully playable without the DLC, but how is it complete? These tiny to moderate assets were obviously developed right alongside the game then held back so poor souls would spend $241 on them! Not only would the extra content fit on a standard DVD, there is tons of Blu-ray space just waiting to be filled on the PS3 version. Did you see the infuriating monopoly DLC? You seriously have to pay extra to use the horse and cannon game pieces. It's unbelievable. I guess they just couldn't squeeze those tiny files onto the Blu-ray, huh? Maybe they'll be included in Monopoly Streets GOTY edition?

"EA is simply giving users choice to buy what they want. "

An EA PR representative couldn't have spun it better himself. I think you missed your calling in life.

"Let EA figure out the hard way that releasing too much DLC is confusing and in many ways insulting to consumers. "

This sounds good. Unfortunately, this "hard way" you speak of is lining their pockets with gold from uninformed, impulsive loyal fans. They've been perpetuating this scam since the first Godfather was released, and they will keep doing it.

Imagine the next round of consoles in which Tiger Woods is a $40 product that comes with one course, one club, and one golfer. Everything else is add-on content. Well, by your logic it's still a fully playable game, but EA is simply giving users choice to buy what they want.

Moral: Slippery slopes are slippery.

I'm curious which "webshow" the YDKJ DLC refers to- could be the old-school netshow when Jack from the 90s or the new-school netshow from 2008 (2009?).
Either way, it's 10 more episodes of Jack for $5. Worth the admission fee.
