SingStar update adding 40 songs, including classical tracks

Along with the standard-issue group of modern tracks available in the SingStar update this Wednesday, Sony will also add, as it describes, "works from infamous composers such as Mozart, di Capua and Puccini."

... infamous? ...

We're not sure if in some interesting marketing crossover the company meant that these composers are electric; or that Mo, Capi and Puck were crackin' skulls and then beating out piano concertos when they weren't on the streets.

say what you want but _I_ play play Singstar every now and then. Keep the tracks coming (even as annoying to download/purchase them as they are)

@PR0F3TA I used to but I don't anymore. They're too expensive compared to Rock Band tracks which offer quadruple the content and with vocal harmonies, Singstar is now way behind in terms of experience offered. Plus, the Guitar updates for Singstar are really poor. The most fun I had was with the Dance expansions but then, there's Dance Central.

Mozart and infamous in the same sentence. The irony. Although I've gotta wonder how you sing to Mozart. Either we're gonna be singing opera in our living room (Don Giovanni, anyone?), or we might get some crazy gangster vocals for some concertos and symphonies. Now THAT'S bi-winning.

It lists Queen of the Night, so yeah you're right, opera. The Magic Flute though. Wicked hard aria, I can't believe they picked it, but it's pretty cool. Maybe they'll do stuff from Figaro and Don Giovanni next. If they start putting Schubert song cycles on there, I will totally buy this thing.

I don't know why they are questioning that these composers are infamous. Everybody knows who they are, They are truly penultimate, at the top of they're field.

Man, remember how hot Alicia Silverstone was in the 90's? That Aerosmith video with the guy and his Virtual Reality motorcycle, where he's trying to have coitis with Virtual Silverstone was pretty sweet.

I won't say too little, but definitely too late. Singstar had garbage updates in NA for like 3 years.
