Not to be outdone by Blizzavision's World of Duty: Modern Warcraft, it appears NCsoft's Guild Wars 2 will counter with a Commando profession for the upcoming MMO. Featuring the motto: "If it bleeds, I can kill it," the contemporary military unit will "Oscar Mike" into the fight on land, sea or air across the fantasy realm.
Some may argue that the profession is overpowered against evil bunny and dragon tangos, given that the class can equip grenades, drive all types of modern vehicles, and call in gunships, Predator air strikes and naval bombardment... but allow us to assure you that it totally is. Good thing the profession is just another April Fools joke.
I wish this was a real class, haha, hoho. I feel like having a modern commando class in such an epic fantasy setting would not take away from the experience at all, but add on to it
This is only one half of an extremely intricate Guild Wars prank. The guild wars 2 wiki had all of its language converted to New Krytan dialect. An actual quest was implemented in GW1 that lets you play as a commando, saving Sarah from an Annihilator sent from the future to kill her, to stop her from having a child that will one day help humanity against its attack against the Annihilators users.
And not to mention the usual annual april fools Update patch, ripe with many a funnies.

That was stupid, they didn't even try to make it believable. The best April Fools' vids are the ones where actual effort is put forth to make it believable.
They put a lot of actual effort into this! They mocked it up with concept art, screens, wallpapers, skill videos, descriptions, official sites WITH twitter feeds. Not to mention a really fun quest in guild wars 1. This is by far one if the best gaming April fool "jokes" around. So what if it's not "believable", you have to imagine if they actually did something potentially believable and it turned out to be a joke, people would be pissed!
