Halfbrick's Age of Zombies now on Xperia Play
18
Halbrick's brought its twin-stick shooter, Age of Zombies, from iOS and PlayStation Minis on over to the Xperia Play, as seen in the video past the break. Currently available in the Android Marketplace (but, like the PSOne Classics releases, only downloadable on the Xperia Play), the port is certified "Xperia Play optimized" and brings with it touch-screen controls as well as support for Xperia's gamepad control scheme.

Sweet. Awesome. Now all we need is for the Xperia Play itself to be released. Or even have an announcement of a possible date or price.

So can I assume there are ninjas and robots in this game too?
They seem to be hitting for the cycle on shitty hipster humor iconography.

It's an ok game, nothing amazing. Good in small doses but gets repetitive after a while. The pricing is probably just right, although $5 when it was/is a mini is a bit steep. Either that or I'm a tight bastard. Probably that.
Just a shame that as I bought it as a mini, if I wanted to play it on my Xperia, the overall cost would be $8.10. Which ain't happening.

I'd find it hard to recommend this game for any price higher than a dollar. It's a mildly entertaining distraction (nothing more, nothing less) that also happens to be ridiculously short - as in, there are flash games longer than this. You can easily beat it in well under 2 hours.

The only thing cooler than a Zombie T-Rex is a Wizard riding said Zombie T-Rex.

I really liked this game. It was the only thing that made me reluctant to trade in my PSP. It's just simple, addicting fun.

Halfbrick should bring the other Barry Steakfries games to PSP Minis where he was given life.
