Joystiq needs to link to the right source:

http://www.gamesthirst.com/2011/04/01/new-and-exciting-ninja-gaiden-3-details-unleashed-move-support-hinted/

All the other sites did the same thing, and it's a shame a respected site like this would not give credit where credit is due. www.gamesthirst.com broke the news, from the PlayStation Magazine PURCHASED by one of its editors.

In fact, do a google search of new ninja gaiden 3 details and you'll see gamesthirst at the top of the page.

All the other big sites, including CVG, VG247 and dozens more linked to the source, so why didn't Joystiq?

GamesThirst is the right source, Here's the full bit from the site:

There hasn’t been information on Ninja Gaiden 3 at all, but in the latest PlayStation: The Official Magazine, project lead Yosuke Hayashi’s unleashed some rather juicy details.

Get them below the break.

“We are focusing Ryu as a dark Japanese hero,” Hayashi told the mag. “There won’t be new playable characters, but we’ll focus more deeply on
Ryu Hyabusa’s life and lifestyle and feelings and thoughts.”

Hayashi went on, explaining how they plan to explore what a lifetime of violence can do to a person.

“We are trying to take the violent concepts even deeper and make people realize how it feels to actually kill someone and what it is to actually gut someone,” he added.

“It’s very important to us that people realize that violence is not only about blood and gore.”

There’s also change in the game’s design, says Hayashi, making it more accessible to new players, but at the same time keeping the core audience intact.

“We know that many fans feel good about the difficulty level, but we are taking a slightly different approach. It’s not that the game’s going to be easier – nothing like that. It’s just that we are trying to make a whole game, a more exciting game that can be enjoyed by anyone.

But at the same time, hardcore gamers will be able to feel and appreciate what the series is about.”

Ninja Gaiden 3 will also feature a “complex multiplayer mode”, and both the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions will be released simultaneously.

When pressed about Move support for the game, Hayashi remains mute, saying it’s a closely guarded secret. No word on Kinect support however.

So they should reference an article that refers to another article instead of referencing the actual magazine article???
That makes no sense at all

SO, yeah. Not sure if the tacked-on line applies, but... I dont want to really get in they way of your handiwork, so please continue, while I try to find words that properly describe the amount of pure WANT

Okay, stop pretending Ninja Gaiden needs a deep, emotional experienced.

There are TWO things I expect from NG...Ninjas dying, and tits (demon or otherwise).

...okay...technically that's three things.

Someone bashing "hardcore" gamers certainly isn't one.

I remember this one guy, back in the days before "the rift", whinning about Metroid Prime difficulty... You couldn't call him a casual since the term didn't exist back then, but someone who thinks that game is hard should stick to the likes of Nintendogs or something. And if by today standards he isn't a casual, who is?

Complaining about a game difficulty or bashing "core" gamers for liking their games difficult sounds like a very casual-like behavior to me.

If you see yourself as the SUPREME GAMER, why on earth would you start this argument with such an stupid remark? Of course people are going to dislike this new approach, the NG series ever since the NES days have been notorious for being difficult. Focusing on Ryu's thoughts about life and lifestyle? I'm sorry, but it DOES sound like garbage. Not that I'm not fond of deep plots and envolving storytelling, but that's NOT what Ninja Gaiden is about.

I'll let your unfortunate comments about game collections pass, since personal attacks would make us both "idiots", "noobs" and whatever other nice things we already said to each other.

I had post a reply BACK ON TOPIC, but it got blocked for some reason.

So, I'll ignore our little personal war and your unfortunate last remarks and go straight to the point. NG was ALWAYS about difficulty and hardcore action, ever since the NES days. After 2004's awesome Xbox game, it became about difficulty, hardcore action and unreallistic boobs. And that's what people love it for. I like a well woven plot and a compelling storytelling as much as anyone, but tuning down the difficulty and yet making it "appealing" to both demographics sounds like utter garbage. It doesn't work. You know it, I know it, everyone knows it. Besides, focus on Ryu's thoughts about life and lifestyle? Yeah, that sure sounds like a NG game I feel like playing...

"...enjoyed by anyone."

I don't think he knows that the main reason I like Ninja Gaiden is that it is not enjoyed by anyone. It takes patience and skill to finish a Ninja Gaiden game, and even then the developers still throw in cheap shots to infuriate the player.

I don't think I will like this approach. The only thing that should make Ninja Gaiden more accessible is an easy mode. I'd rather they focus on making the level design and plot more enjoyable. The combat is fine.

It's important that we know this, after all, we had to endure it through every God of War game, after slaughtering thousands of living things, he'd break down and cry and start mummbling about his wife and child and other crap. So yeah, Ryu likes to kill crap too, so why should he not get to break down and cry? :D
